Re: 'Guest Posts'

Not sure what to make of the replies here. Most of you seem to be saying that we should have more adverts and that some spam is OK. :? Is that really what you mean? Let me be clear, I'm not asking for permission to place more ads. There have been some ads on the home page for years but I've never in...

Re: 'Guest Posts'

The above was one of four such emails I've received in just the past two days. All apparently unrelated and all quoting different posts as their inspiration for writing. Another example: This month, we're looking to secure sponsorship placements with five prominent blogs and ACD jumped straight to t...

Re: 'Guest Posts'

Not accusing anyone of anything, well except maybe Kermit - accepting bribes of tea from Utopia is outrageous! Expect to be banned as soon as I find the right button :D In general my attitude to spam, trolling or whatever is to give the benefit of the doubt, unless it's absolutely blatant. 10 identi...

'Guest Posts'

I often get emails from companies offering to pay to post promotional articles on the forum. This sounds like spam to me so I generally decline. At the same time I've also noticed an increasing number of posts copied and pasted from other sites, usually with a credit. In most cases these are interes...

Rotterdam Coffeeshop Directory

The 20th Anniversary Edition is making progress. I'm rolling out bits as soon as they feel stable. Please let me know if you find any faults. The dropdown menu on the Directory button is now available everywhere except the Forum. From here, if you click any of the menu buttons except Forum and then ...

So glad he made it to Amsterdam for one last time in April. Thanks to Miss Muffet for making that possible.

Condolences to Miss Muffet and the rest of his family. Obviously they'll miss him even more than we will.

Re: CoffeeShops still open near Overtoom\Vondel

Yes, Vondel is still open, or at least it was when I passed it last April. Tweedy has closed but Blue Lagoon is still open. For more see the Google map mentioned above or this Directory page: Old West . As far as I know, the map and Directory are up to date but please do let me know if you find any ...

Re: ACD Mission Barcelona November - all welcome!

Thanks for the suggestions. I probably won't be paying membership for more than two or three. I might try to get some pics of the fronts of more though. It looks like many are quite anonymous from outside but I like collecting things!

Looks like it's going to be just me checking out these clubs. Which ones should I visit on behalf of the ACD?

Nice one! I think Macky said he was booking flights too. I really must finish off my travelogue from last April.

Re: Help a friend in need?!

I guess the "gay" shop you visited was The Otherside . I can't tell you whether it's a gem because I've never been there but the closest to you is Risky Business . Otherwise to the south you have The Loft or to the east Freedom . These suburban shops are often cheaper than those in the centre but no...

Re: ACD's 4/20 Gathering 2017

Day 7 - Sunday 23rd April 2017 - Art Today really is going to be a J-Day. That is, I'm putting the missus in charge. Her thing is art. Generally splodgy modern art. Today, however, she's found an exhibition that features two of my favourite artists: Banksy and Salvador Dali. Excellent! Surprisingly...
