There is even a meeting point in front of the ticket encounters, so you cannot miss it.

My first time I entered in a coffeeshop was back in 1991 when I was with the school in Amsterdam. At that time it was allowed to enter a CS with 16. We didn't know how it works, and thought it is still something illegal, so we made hidden signs to the barlady that we wanted something to smoke. She l...

It won't happen now. Not with Obama. And maybe not in the next 20 years. But in the USA there is a big movement for a cannabis legalization. Maybe the so conservative USA will be one of the first to change the law in 50 years, and then the rest of the world will follow. Unfortunately I will probably...

I prefer much more a coffeeshop. It is also nicer to drink your beer in a bar rather than at home.

This is something I hate! I want to put as much milk and sugar as I want into my coffee. They do not even ask how much you want. I do not go to such places.

You will see, that most Dutch smokers usually just come in, buy their stuff and leave.
Probably a lot of them prefer the coffeeshops outside the tourist areas, I could imagine.

I hate Starbucks. You call THAT coffee? And then, if you want to eat something it is rather to cold, or too sweet.
The only nice thing is the usually very comfortable atmosphere.

You can smoke pure joints in every coffeeshop. Some shops have extra areas for smoking also with tobacco. Many offer a tobacco replacement, which you should try, especially if you usually do not smoke cigarettes. I love that stuff! And some simply do not care, if you hide your tobacco a bit, while r...

I heard it often about sending it per mail. The positive thing is, that they could not blame it on you, as you can pretend you did not know about it. At least in most countries. But they can find it easily in every kind of package. I would also love to bring some souvenirs at home, but why don't you...

Maybe it is also for the smoking ban. The last times I have been there, I decided not to spend the night in Amsterdam or to rent a flat, as I want to smoke a last spliff before I go to sleep when I am in this town. And due to the high prices of the hotel room I didn't go there. Good to know that the...

That shows again, that Austrians are NOT the "more conservative Germans". (Besides, that probably for most Austrians the "German" is worse than the "conservative" )

Good step. A small one, but at least a step. :!: :D

I really cannot give you any recommandation, as I have never found the hotel which really pleased me in Amsterdam. The problem is, that the prices in Amsterdam are very high, and the quality compared to the prices is very low. A hotel with 3 stars would get not more than 2 stars anywhere else in Eur...
