Great start @Lemming, you and Igraine certainly made good use of a relatively short first night.
Looking forward to reading the rest, I always enjoy your 420 trip reports

Re: Coffeeshop Menus
@Lemming both options are available and as you describe. I would say it is far more common for people to use the first option however. The more intuitive option on iPhones would be to open a photo and select to send. You are then presented with a number of options, generally ordered by your most rec...

Re: Coffeeshop Menus
……Sometimes I get menus embedded into messages rather than as attachments, which might marginally reduce quality but is perfectly useable. Could this be an indication of the interface these people are using to send pictures as emails? I’m a PC user at heart but have an iPhone and this is how it def...

Re: Tobacco- is there still some grey area?
Thanks for the advice folks. I think my ask first idea is certainly a no go, just puts them in a difficult position/hard to say yes. I remember when the ban first came in that it was fine to ask but I’d imagine enforcement was non existent back then. I’ll go with my gut on this and as long as I’m no...

Re: ChatGPT?
…. The last one in particular has me suspecting something fishy is going on, looks straight up like a chat bit answer to a question on studies on the topic... Any thoughts on this one? I’d agree with you on these These users in the examples so far no longer exist which points to them being booted f...

Re: ChatGPT?
That’s very interesting, I read the post linked above the other day and couldn’t put my finger on what I found unusual about the phrasing. Initial thought was it was someone who’s first language wasn’t English but it just didn’t feel that it was the case. Anyone watch the series ‘Humans’ on channel ...

Tobacco- is there still some grey area?
Hi all, it’s been a few years since I was last in Amsterdam and so would appreciate some more up to date info. When the smoking ban came in, most coffeeshops were ok with mixing with tobacco (even the ones with signs up) as long as you kept the box off the table. Then the glass boxes arrived and it ...

Re: Miss B by La Grotte
Is it still smoker friendly following the rebrand does anyone know? It’s certainly a radical change from the photos I’ve seen on they’re Instagram Been a few years but it had become part of my routine when visiting to pop here for breakfast on my first morning in the city. Early flight > bug n fly ...

Thanks for all you did FBN, the hours spent pouring over menus and the buzz of the next trip becoming 'official' when posted to the who's in town page

Train Travel
Have used the multi day passes for the tram/bus/metro on most visits and found them really convenient. Just wondering if there's an equivalent 24hour pass for trains or short of that, what might be the most practical way to buy a ticket to go Ams central- Den Haag- Rotterdam -ams central Appreciate ...
