Re: Batavia

Thanks for clearing that up, was a little unsure of what the Dutch text on there website was referring the 9.30 time for as seemed an odd time for bar hours. Never been here and looking forwards to spending serious time trying there bottled beers out with a smoke :)

Re: Bringing beers and food items back to the UK on megabus?

yeeh, would only be in the hold anyway. It struck me that I'd have a load of empty space in the suitcase and would be good to make use of it andbring back all the crap I tend to munch on and drink there to share with family back home. Cant wait to pack a load of Dutch or any interesting beers in the...

Re: Experimental Google Maps

As it seems to me whilst coffeeshops seem to be closing that the number of smoker friendly bars are growing unless im getting the wrong impression?. Hill Street Blues on Warmostraat is now a smomer friendly bar selling be...

Bringing beers and food items back to the UK on megabus?

So I'm going by coach this trip, party due to the short notice (less than 3 weeks), partly due to the coach being £100\€124 cheaper, partly because the coach timings arriving and leaving Dam are far better and partly due to wanting to maximise both the time and budget I'm there for. If the money was...

Question about Tram Service 14 (Flevopark) & night bus 359

As I'm staying at Zeeburg camp site I'm checking out the transport links getting back and 2 into Dam and about etc as will be getting the 3 or 4 day tram pass and will be using trams for the first time properly lol. The tram 14 service aught to be simple enough as it starts and finishes at Flevopark...

17 1/2 days, i arrive on the morning of the 14th. The only thing better than an unexpected short notice trip is the lack of waiting time before leaving :)

Re: Zeeburg camping

wow, like camping on a raft. Sure like the thought of that, but Zeeburg better suites me this trip. Besides, been looking at Zeeburg for a few years now and it was more the animals and campers kitchen that threw it for me. Though a little unsure of doing that bridge down to the campsite off my head ...

But as I get there on the Thursday morning I aught to get a place on the main site before the weekenders turn up. Seems they have a full free to use kitchen there now...

Re: Ed (the Head's) 2 cents worth: Bulldog Hotel.Nothing Nor

I've stayed here in all but 1 Dam trip over many years (well several stays at least) and never a problem. Had both a private and dorm in this place. Never had a problem in a dorm in the slightest. Except that the bar staff often forget that the beers are supposed to be half price between 8-9pm on a ...
