14th - 18th August

Well, not been on here for months after 2 failed trips from Feb then April. So kind of lost heart coming on here. But shit happens to us all at some point and bet we have all been at the oh shit no dam trip stage over the years. Only an unexpected good news issue means a totally unexpected relatve l...

Re: English breakfast

I've found that for some unexplained reason English breakfasts seem highly and disproportionately expensive compared to other meals for what you get. Payed €14 in Barneys several years ago for an English breakfast so fuck knows what the average asking price is these days and even even then the sort ...

Re: Zeeburg camping

Thanks for the response guys. To be honest I'm not as blindly going into the coach and camping option as it might first seem. I've actually done the trip by coach before, on my first ever trip to Amsterdam so do understand it's not a pretty option for many. After the last time I did say never again ...

Zeeburg camping

I know a couple of members have stayed there in the past but unsure on members having recently stayed there. But has anyone stayed there recently to know what it's like?, seems fine on the video clips on there website, more like a British holiday site than a camping site. Like how safe will leaving ...

Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!

I guess security via the coach is different now but when I went by coach about 12 years ago there was NO security check leaving Dover, just a passport control that was done on the coach itself. Coming back was just a fairly quick on & off with baggage and x-ray in Calais. I don't recall a check ...

Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!

In fact in thinking I'm very likely to at least get the coach there next trip even if 16 hours. As being a tight bastard (well more thinking £20 (€26) wasted that's better spent on a couple of gram of quality green) and not willing to pay £20 for a taxi (don't drive and useless public transport at 5...

Re: Plane tickets are too expensive!

It's not so much the flight itself that's expensive these days but the charges included in the cost. Such as the tax, card surcharge, airport charges etc. I know with Easyjet they include all this in the ticket cost these days. But I can still recall return flights from Liverpool for £35 several yea...

Re: Coffeeshop Central

Central is a previous top 5 of mine, but gone is the €12.50 & €25 bag choices in the display case like they used to have and loved by many to look at. Now it's the standard price per gram menu like most. But as I recall the prices are at most average, which is cheaper than many coffeeshops for i...

Re: Late Report That I Wasn't Going To Do, But Did!

wow, what a bloody great any enjoyable read, thanks for sharing your trip with the rest of us. "bric-a-brac" loved that choice of words for your buys on your last day lol. On my last trip I spent about €100 more on smoking than I'd figured due to sticking to the 1g to try as much of everyt...

Re: Voyagers

Looking at the Voyagers "Space Invaders" inspired logo it's got me thinking. The only thing that I'd say is missing, or more like to see is 1 of those retro multi-arcade video games cabnets?. imagine how great it would be having a smoke and spending a few Euros playing Space Invaders, Pac-...

Re: DAM TRIP NEXT WEEK! TELL ME WHAT TO SMOKE & WHERE TO GET

Anything on the menu at Voyagers & Utopia sounds like a good bet right now. But I've noticed a few mixed reviews of some Utopia gear, but in most cases by most Utopia and there gear is as well rated as Voyagers.

Re: Soft Temple

I'm currently finishing work on my own coffeeshop map that I started over a year (forgot about it after my last trip lol) ago and came by this CS listed on the ACD map checking over a few things. And I realised I'd never noticed this CS on the map before this week?. Has this only recently been added...
