Re: First strain for a newbie
Go slow and have sugary drinks on hand just in case he gets paranoid Sort of what I was planning. Before starting the vape session i'm gonna order a juice for him and when we do partake, it's going to be a few minute rest between hits for him. I'll make sure the bag gets empty and no weed goes to w...

Re: First strain for a newbie
he wont have to smoke to enjoy himself. That's true, but he's one of those people who has never tried it and has preconceived notions about it as a result of the media and government, which he trusts *far* too much. I'd like him to at give it a shot so before judging whether he likes it or not. It'...

Nice. I just noticed that. I only looked at the first page thinking the second page was hash. Nice. Very large and good selection.Adamster wrote: Yup all at Katsu at the moment from last menu posted on the menu site

Re: First strain for a newbie
I agree that the actual weed is less important than the ambience, and not being silly about smoking too fast. Katsu is good; Yo-Yo is another relaxed place, with outdoor strains for sale, I believe. Your husband will probably enjoy wandering about de Pijp and the market after a joint/pipe or two; i...

Re: First strain for a newbie
We'll have to agree to disagree on the merits of leafly OneHighMofo. If all strains were equally random, so should be the effect reports. I agree with you, however, that much of what's sold in the dam is often mislabeled (especially with the dam's back door system) and growing conditions can drastic...

Re: First strain for a newbie
Yes, I've been to Barney's before. I was not impressed either. It's just the only place i know that definately has the steain. Anyway, I'll take a look and if I feel it's shit, I'll get a hybrid somewhere else or go with your Jamaican recommendation. Any idea where I can find some? Outdoor/import is...

Oh. BTW. Any idea where I can find some of that low grade Jamaican you mentioned? I've been looking for that.

Re: First strain for a newbie
Tangerine dream is high in thc n low in Cbn .. The low Cbn could lead to whitey or paranoia ! Thanks for the reply! I've heard that and generally accepted it as true, but after browsing strains on Leafly and looking at the effects per strain, I find there are many Indicas that lead to paranoid effe...

Re: First strain for a newbie
So apparently i'm taking a bottle of black peppercorns along as that apparently cures cannabis anxiety when you smell it. Surprisingly, it's not just a placebo. It contains the terpenes Pinene and Caryophyllene which apparently react with the weed to negate the paranoid effect. If my husband gets pa...

First strain for a newbie
My husband has never smoked before and I'd like to get him high for the first time. I was thinking Tangerine Dream as Leafly has no reports of paranoia out of the reviews (he's kind of high strung and needs to be in control all the time). I don't want to go with an Indica because he'll just say &quo...

Thanks. Well, i'll be in town until the 5th. If the ball and chain allows, a second toke and talk, or at least a meet up, might be in order. I'll pm you next week and let you know.djsplatmat wrote:Well I am not in town till the 1st, but enjoy

Re: Strain hunting in the Dam
pretty damn hard to find Hence the reward. Yeah. I really wish that the Netherlands didn't have the restriction on online advertising. If a service like Leafly worked in Amsterdam, consumers could pop a strain name into their phone and be directed to the nearest coffeeshop that has it. Heck, you ca...

Re: Strain hunting in the Dam
I want to thank everybody in the thread who has helped me out. I'll be at Katsu at 3PM for a T&T where I can more properly thank you. I've found almost everything I was looking for, the only exceptions being Jamaican, Malawi Gold, and some other landraces. If anybody can help me find at least tw...

Re: Strain hunting in the Dam
Thanks! Any recommendations for a good sleepytime indica if I can't find Hindu Kush? Sorry mate it's not really my thing Normally not for me either, but I almost always have trouble sleeping in hotel beds. A nice Indica before bedtime does wonders for your sleep quality, I find. Also great for sex....

Re: Strain hunting in the Dam
Thanks! That's not far from the Katsu at all. I'll definitely hit that. Last time it was one of my favorite strains, and I don't usually like Indicas.Papi_3city wrote:Hindu Kush is to be found in Club Media in de Pijp area.
