the service of the hotels and cleanliness of places really depends on where u are. in my experience with amsterdam, i have had wonderful breakfasts everyday, but i paid for them. you get what u pay for i had a very clean and comfortable room with a tv that works great. even a dvd player and stereo. ...

never been carded anywhere in the dam, not even at the bars..


and i agree, most shops are small enough the person working could easily see and talk with anyone in the shop.. too bad for the shops that had to close down.

ah thats too bad, taht would be awesome if there the odd shop or bar that was 24 hrs. i found most of the shops when i went closed around 1 or 3 on weekends.... and the earliest was open at like 7 as you suggested. its all good tho, cause there is always a place to burn even if its not in a coffeesh...
