Re: Food You Look Forward To When In Amsterdam

I think Wok to Wok is mediocre at best!

Re: Any Bird Hunters on This Forum?

Boner, I could not agree with you more.

I think that for most hunters, there is not a thrill in the kill. The thrill is in the skill.

Re: Any Bird Hunters on This Forum?

There are countless reasons, metaphysical and otherwise, why humans hunt. It is a very deep and complex subject. Here is something I found online that you might relate to: "Hunters enjoy hunting. They have some very deep feelings about hunting, but often find it difficult to express those feeli...

Re: Any Bird Hunters on This Forum?

Marco, it sounds like you have had a fair amount of quality hunting. South Dakota is the pheasant capital of the U.S. and probably the world, because of the incredible number of birds there. Thanks for your input. The following video ought to bring back memories: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XEHj8...

Re: Any Bird Hunters on This Forum?

Wow! Two turkeys with one shot. Great story. I appreciate hearing from you. This time of year is very nostalgic for me because this is bird hunting season and from the age of 10 I was out in the rice fields on Thanksgiving morning, lugging a mighty heavy 12 gauge shotgun, hunting that most beautiful...

Any Bird Hunters on This Forum?

Are any of you guys from the U.K., the U.S., or anywhere bird hunters (pheasants, ducks, geese, etc.)?
I have always wanted to hunt in other countries and would be interested to hear about your bird hunting experiences and to know if there are reasonable opportunities where you live.

Your rant was well spoken, VS. I sympathize with you and your countrymen. My neighbor is from Ireland and recently left there, having had enough of the BS. I think that many are fleeing Ireland with the hopes of finding a better life. I hope that you find yours.

A Robert Downey Jr. film, The Singing Detective.
It's a trippy, film noirish psych drama that is far more than the title suggests. Downey was brilliant as usual.

The fastest, most comfortable way to Paris or back to Amsterdam is the high-speed train, Thalys. It goes from Paris' Nord station to Amsterdam's Centraal station, or vice versa, in 3 hours and 19 minutes..breakfast in Amsterdam and lunch in Paris! Here is the Thalys website: http://www.thalys.com/nl...
