True, many do allow smoking inside however it seems less all the time. Personally I don't smoke tobacco so I do appreciate those that are non-smoking as I have found generally they are appointed a bit nicer than the ones that do allow it. I like to buy lots of flowers while I am there which get lost...

Just to clarify that Boner, many (most?) don't allow smoking inside however you can step out on the balcony or terrace of your apartment, or up on the deck of your houseboat, anytime you wish.

Thanks FBN, their own website looks appealing and since it is new one would expect it to be high quality. I'm just in the planning stages right now looking at November or February, but I'll send you a note when I have my dates confirmed.

I'm planning a trip soon and just looking at hotels instead of an apartment. I've stayed near the Amrath while it was being renovated and understand now it has opened fully. Has anyone stayed there?

Just signed up, lost of good information here. I am going to Amsterdam next month and this should give me lots of things to see and do. Does anyone know of any good latex fashion stores? I have heard Damask is really good but Amsterdam must have many others.
