Did you Download google earth or are using the online version if the online one, have you got a link? I like the online version. Allows you to save cities and locations. http://earth.google.com/ Easy and fun way to become familiar with the Dam. Example: I now know that when I exit Centraal Station,...

Using Google Earth to explore The Dam

I've been messing around with Google Earth, trying to get a bit familiar with streets, layouts, my hotel location, etc. Of course it's not like actually walking the streets, however there ARE major areas and buildings marked with links to pics of them. Pretty cool way to become visually familiar wit...

Ah yes, Bill 'O The Clown. Watching the show, you would think that Mr. O'Reilly is responsible for researching and writing the pieces such as this one, and that he is well versed in the topic. Think again. O'Reilly has producers, many producers, who are largely responsible for the content of his sho...

Virgin Trip: Please Help Me Select My First Coffeehouse

Although many months away, I'm stoked about the Dam and am thoroughly into researching coffeehouses & other attractions. Can you veterans recommend my first coffeehouse? I tend to enjoy a more laid-back, subdued atmosphere during the day (I'll be arriving in the city around the noon hour) as opp...

Didn't really choose a specific room. Booked it through hostelbookers.com. Just specified a single room w/ private bath.
