Leaving in two weeks for Amsterdam and I always like to hit MY first (sentimental reasons). My flight arrives in the AM and I want to make sure I'm not hopping up and down on one leg for an extended period of time.

I was told that it's because some shops have surveillance and a hat makes it harder to identify you.

Then again, I was told that when I was totally baked and not quite sure if I was getting the Bill Maher "Religulous" experience.
