Just couldn't wait till 420 so taking a quick 'practice' trip to get ready and scout the ground out. If anyone is interested in having a T&T sometime throughout these dates I'll be up for it.

The cinema I went to there was a coffeeshop right across the street down a little side street. It was a low ceiling place very small and very friendly and cheap. I was the only customer in there. Does that ring a bell for anyone regarding it's name?

Went to the Cinema just off Rembrandt square it was in a lovely old building and had a nice beer with my popcorn. Movie was a standard Hollywood type in English. There is a more modern complex up the road too although it's presise location escapes me.

I'd avoid the Grasshopper and the Bulldog. The weed there is not always the best. Welcome to the board. Some great info on here.

Always use the ones in front of the steps down to left luggage outside customs and the ones on the damrak corner of dam square myself. Seems like money changing is a bit of a raquet (sp) in Amsterdam otherwise.

The Rjkes during renovation is absolutely not worth the admission price. It is a shame to have to wait so long to visit what promises to be a great museum. If you want value and 5 eu deals I'd say heading out of the centrum area starts to make better sense. Space and cost in the centrum leads toward higher turnover in every regard in most cases. Same as any large city I suppose.
