I'm surprised how much good press Neville's Haze is getting. It's rash to make these kind of promises, but I hereby pledge to visit 420 and pick up a bit of Neville's. Chocolope ... Chocolope seems to get such bifurcated reviews. People love the taste. The concept of crossing Thai with Cannalope Haz...

Speaking from experience, I can confirm colinzeal's findings on Papillon's John Sinclair ... I have had my eye on 420's Neville's Haze (because of the shop's reputation) and the Chiesel (because of its NYCD lineage). Thanks, y'all, for helping me come to grips with these important decisions :) Keep ...

Motivational high: What's your fav?

Motivation: that's what I'm after. My favorite motivational strain is 420's NYCD. What's yours? ~ Q

I'm putting Boerejongens on my itinerary. De Graal and Kabouter have earned a look-and-see ... Yo-Yo's been closed every time I've tried to visit it.

I am surprised no one's mentioned Papillon. I can recommend it for both ambiance and product :)

Fav coffeeshops outside Centrum, besides Katsu & Media?

Okay. We all know Katsu and Club Media are good shops. Here's my question: What other shops *outside* the Centrum (in other words, those not within the bounds of ACD's map) offer quality weed? I am particularly keen to hear about shops that offer a good selection of strains that go beyond your run-o...

Hey, bleak, thanks for contributing to the thread. I had been thinking about Durban Poison, having noticed it on a menu from Homegrown Fantaseeds. I am after a clear high that lends itself to walking, and DP sounds like it's the ticket. I pledge to visit Anyday when I'm in town in August. You've sol...

I should've looked more closely at existing threads before posing my question. Here are two that address the topic nicely:

I had been eyeing Laughing Buddha (said to be a good daytime smoke) to serve as a cerebral co-pilot on my walks around Amsterdam. Now that I know its bloodline, LB will definitely land a spot on my August itinerary.

You are my kind of Hobbit, Billbo! Thanks for the insight ~ Q

Thanks for the informed responses! If anyone else has first-hand experience with imported or outdoor wiet in Amsterdam, do share.

Dumb question: favorite Jamaican, Thai or African offering?

I know one doesn't travel to Amsterdam to smoke brick weed ... but I am curious. Is there a coffee shop out there selling good imported weed? Jamaican, Thai or African -- is this stuff strictly a low-end offering? I want to try something grown outdoors that's special ~ Q

420's NYCD would be my first choice, followed by Papillon's John Sinclair.

There's a certain quality to your writing that screams honesty. When I write reports I always manage to inject a thought that isn't ... real. In the future I'll try to use your work as a model. Thank you for the excellent, gritty reportage.

For what it's worth, here's how Haze is described in the Cannabible: Haze is a four-way super-sativa consisting of Colombian, Mexican, Thai and South Indian strains ... The high is clear, energetic and, most of all, strong! Haze is one of the few strains of the '70s that still survives, primarily be...

Danke sehr. That's more than I could've asked for. And on that note, I'll ask for more ... When you move on to covering the other categories of sativa (and I am looking forward to that time, BTW), feel free to discuss the qualities that characterize those types. When I'm in Amsterdam I get the impre...

Since you tried a lot of sativas, let me ask: Which one (or two) was your favorite energizing variety, good for a walk about town? And which strain had the most memorable effects ... not necessarily the one that produced the strongest stone, but the one that had the most interesting high?
