Well, thank you for the speedy response. I definitely do not want to insult anyone while I am visiting Amsterdam. I also think 200 euros is alot for one day, but as I am only there for one day I would hate to not be able to do something because I don't have enough money.

I was just wondering if you could pay for your coffeeshop purchases in the dam with british pounds. I already have 200 euros to spend in one day, but I am not sure if that will be enough. If you are allowed to pay with pound notes is there any kind of additional charge for doing so? Thanks in advanc...
