My dutch health insurance was backdated to the date I entered the country (I am a ex-uk resident) and I had to pay all the back dated premiums. Once I had my dutch social security number and my stamp in my passport to say I was a now a dutch resident, I was informed I was legally obliged to have du...

Ha ha, bad advice, there are tons of dodgy areas within the A10. There are areas you should not go in the New West (inside the A10) and the Bijlmer but there is no way you will stumble in on them stoned unless you take a 30 min metro or tram ride. Obviously, do not go to somewhere with anyone you m...

Stick within the A10 (road) and you'll be fine. Ha ha, bad advice, there are tons of dodgy areas within the A10. There are areas you should not go in the New West (inside the A10) and the Bijlmer but there is no way you will stumble in on them stoned unless you take a 30 min metro or tram ride. Obv...

I've stayed there. It is run by the Dutch youth hostel association so there are fewer stoners there compared to, say, Flying Pig Downtown. Those who do smoke head out to the park. Incidentally, right the other side of the park just 1 minute away is a Flying Pig hostel. People from both smoke in the ...

As said, it is impossible to screen every single package sent by air mail, there are too many of them! The biggest risk is the local sorting office or your postie figuring out its weed and nicking it. UK is well known for theft by Royal Mail workers (mostly contractors). You can even walk into many ...

The only thing I would say is, no matter how good you think you are, don't expect a positive response. I've seen countless morons go into coffeeshops and produce their CD or MP3 player and asking to play it, often just to showboat to their buddies. Thing is, only they and maybe their party will like...

I'd like to know what's meant by 'permanently'.. Yeah ultimately it comes down to the health authority. If you stop paying taxes to UK and start paying to NL then I imagine this would count. Even if you go somewhere to live for 2 years, the individual might not view it as permanent but it is essent...

Well, if you want to pay €90 and more per month that's your business... whilst you are a UK citizen you are covered by the NHS!!!!!!! wherever you happen to be... This is simply not true. Being a UK citizen does not cover you for health by the UK government for life. If you move abroad, the NHs wil...
