A lot of people getting this one confused with other Barneys outlets. This one doesnt do a food menu, unless something has drastically changed in the last few months since I went in there. The place is small-ish, dark, hip and modern. I used to absolutely die for this place a couple of years back wh...

I actually quite like this place. Bought the special, Blueberry here both times. Sat in the big window with a couple of cokes. Was quite busy both times but no hassle from the budtender. Just bought, smoked a quicky, then got off. Not a place to spend hours and hours but worth a look for sure. I'd e...

Went to the one on Thornbeckplein. Didn't like it. Bought the bubblegum, didn't want to buy anything but we were told we had to. As it was late and a few others places were heaving, we bought this. Shittest bubblegum I've ever had. Gave me a huge fucking migrane that lasted for a day. Felt awful fro...

Been visiting this shop for around 6 years. It used to be very hip, and number 2 on my agenda after paradox but in my opinion, it has lost a little of its appeal since it installed the cubic smoking room near the entrance. Mainly because it's made out of perspex and plywood and looks a little...sad....

I actually do love this place, I won't lie. I loved it before the refurb and I love it now. I wouldn't spend hours and hours in there but they have some very nice weeds on their menu. Pineapple Haze is absolutely lovely. LSD is very cool and trippy. The coffees are awesome. The seats out front are n...

Only been here once, unbelievably. Bought some caramello from here which was very, very nice. Think it was about 9 euro a gram. Met a crazy arse yank in there who was sucking on a huge glass bong. Offered me a hit but I declined. He was fucking mental. Big white beard, string vest. Said he wrestled ...

Used to be a legendary shop, but last few years has got a bit boring. Last time I went in the guy was a misery arse. Bought some expensive Caramello and grabbed an inch on a bench by the window. Smoked it fast with a coke and went to get Frites from Voetboogstraat. Probably wont go back but used hav...

I've been to Amsterdam around 20 times now. The first 12-15 times I tried to get a seat in here in the morning, but never have been able to get a seat. Makes me chuckle because I always walk all the way there only to end up in Siberie smoking some White Widow and drinking coffee. Same old routine. L...

I went in here when I was in Amsterdam with some friends in Nov 2008, it was busy but the guy at the bar went out of his way to get us seated together when we'd been turned away by other coffeeshops. Didn't buy from here as we'd already just bought from Bushdoctor (I only made that mistake once, rub...

I've had some nice musical experiences in Barneys Lounge. Once a couple of years back, when all the flights were cancelled into Schipol because of weather, we were alone in BL, and the guy turned off the music and put on a dvd of Jeff Buckley live. It was insanely good, although we were insanely sto...

What about, Start off at Greenhouse Namaste on the Waterlooplein, after a quick bite to eat at Bagels and Beans of course. After a few hits, amble down to Het Ballonje for a while and maybe try some White Balloon. Make your way to Amsteldijk and head down towards Yo-yo. Grab some organic skunk and w...

Ah now what can I say about this coffeeshop. Always my first visit when I get to the city. I'm a big fan of this type of coffeeshop, no frills, filled with locals, dutch literature, great strong coffee, nice food, great weed, great hash, wonderful knowledgeable owners. It has it all. I am a big fan ...

Never felt 'truly' welcome in here I must say. Always been very busy, seemed like I was being a bit of a nuisance whilst having the audacity to queue up. Had Yellow Cab and East Coast Sour Diesel from here. Won't lie and say i was BLOWN away, but it was alright. I'd only ever buy and leave from here...

I'm genuinely looking forward to visiting Stix (or Solo) on Korte Koningstraat in a couple of weeks time. Love the Nepal from there and the Caramello too, never tried the Wiet though. Not overly keen on the branch on Utrechtestraat because of those hideous wooden benches and the size of it. I used t...

Hello all, here at last
After many, many adventures to Amsterdam, most of them fuelled by this website I've finally decided to join this brilliant forum. So, hello. I've been to the Netherlands more times than I care to (or rather, can) remember and I reckon I've been to (nearly) every worthy coffeeshop in amsterdam. Here ...
