I like it but you must be alright with a lot of stairs and I mean a lot. I would happily stay here again.

Re: First trip ... Need best advice for first timer
If you go to the right coffeeshops the staff will advise you on what is best to try. Somewhere like Utopia or Paradox are ultra friendly. You can certainly get some nice outdoor weed from Paradox which isn't as intense as a lot of the ganja you will find in Amsterdam.

At the end of the shift she would have to clean them, so if she don't let you use them she has one less thing to do.

Re: Utopia
The music in Utopia is great, but... when the boss is on it gets dire. The worst of which he played Justin Bieber! Hopefully they have had a word with him about that

Re: spaarndammerstraat
The AH on Spaarndammerstraat is of quite a size and seemed reasonable to me. It was certainly cheaper to buy croissants there than in town, the Magnum ice creams were 2.70 for 4! Avoid it if you can at rush hour times as it gets manic and you will probably be the only tourist in there.

Re: spaarndammerstraat
I stayed for two weeks in Spaarndammerbuurt. I did not visit Heavenly, Barentz or Wauw. I had read bad reviews about Barentz. None seemed that appealing and I was regurlarly by Heavenly and I used the Albert Heijn often which is next door to the Wauw. It was too easy to jump on the bus and within fi...

Re: Anytime (Alkmaar)
I cant remember what I got the first time here but the second time was the Northern Lights which was very nice and their big seller, I am sure I enjoyed the first lot but what it was I don't know. It's a very spacious modern coffeeshop with very pleasant dealers and locals. I will return.
