Here's a tip that I've heard...

Place your stash in an empty soda can or chip bag and leave in the trash bin of another train compartment until past the border, then retrieve before getting off the train.

Saw this at the museum on my visit in March. Aside from the statistics, as exampled above, the exhibit is somewhat lacking.

The museum however, is not lacking. It's an interesting way to spend some rainy time in Amsterdam.
