Re: Kansas sucks, I wanna go back to Oz!
For my final stop of the night, I go next door to Homegrown Fantasy. The lovely and charming Dublin lass working cheerfully shows me almost the whole menu, with descriptions and recommendations. I notice this is a trend, the female budtenders are much better salespeople! There are several things I ...

Re: Talking with a bud tender..
I don't find the herb all that more stronger in Amsterdam, in fact it's quite the opposite. +2 It's the openness and variety that appeals to me. At home hash, concentrates, and edibles are hard to come by, but dynamite weed isn't! Getting to sit outdoors watching the traffic go by with a nice cappu...

Why do I get this message when I come through the map and try to look at the Forum without logging on? However, if I go through one of the coffeeshops on the map I can pull the forum and log on or just view the threads.

The more I think about La Tertulia, the more I think it's one of the better options for you. Very friendly service, never too busy, never a tourist in sight, if it's not too cold/wet you can sit outside on the Prinsengracht and watch the world go by. I especially love it in the mornings when it's r...

Re: Coffeeshop La Paz (Zandvoort)
went here for the first time in November great place very comfy, the red lights in the shop are cool I was there in October and have one word of warning: "Watch that first step as you approach the bar!" I wasn't paying attention and almost went ass over tea kettle. There's a big step down.

Speaking of maps, try the ones on ACD, http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&hl=en&msa=0&msid=111598260136296217268.000490cae6f047ac69152&t=h&z=16. Great for trip planning as they combine coffeeshop reviews with locations. If you are staying at the Victoria Hotel on Damrak, then...

Here's a thread with some guidance that was given to another first-timer not so long ago. https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=19334. There are a couple of different paths that can be followed, vapo or edibles. The latter is totally smokeless while the former has the advant...

Re: I'm 57 she's 62
Where are you staying? Finding a good coffeeshop close to home is always a "WIN!" Nothing wrong with the previous recommendations, but close to home has it's advantages! I'm seventy (70) and my wife's sixty-five (65) and where heading back to Amsterdam in May 2012. If the Dutch government ...

Re: So that 1 coffeeshop...
It comes down to two (2) for me, Tweede Kamer and Homegrown Fantasy. Tweede Kamer has the larger selection (variety is the spice of life) and outstanding hash so it is my "buy & fly" coffeeshop. Homegrown Fantasy has a smaller, though quality selection, but it is bigger, a little more ...
