My head is bloodied, but unbowed.

Apologies for being a fountain of misinformation, and I must trust that No. 1 is markedly superior to No. 2.

Sure thing, Fly By Nite. Also, I reserved our flight for 4-20, so if you could post that on your page, that would be cool -- April 19-24.

Thanks guys. One correction. I knew I wasn't remembering the hotel right -- it was Hotel De Gerstekorrel, at 22-24 Damrak. The entry is a nondescript door, right between New York Pizza and Wok To Go. One door farther down, just beyond Wok To Go and the adjacent alley, is Rene's Croissants. So it's r...

Wow, Boner, thanks. You came through with the Gunpowder advice (appreciated), and now have come to the aid of the technology challenged. Now let's see if I actually can do it. 1. The Central board menu, which is nothing new to many of you, but I still love it: http://aycu38.webshots.com/image/8917/2...

Rev, it was nice meeting you, even if only in passing, at Nes last Friday night. Glad to hear you had a good time -- and now, I wish I hadn't passed on the raisin-dough-ball thing! Hippie from Club Media, which is a vastly underrated shop, sounds nice. I think readers should take your sage advice an...

Dec. 8-11 trip report

We're back from our second trip to Amsterdam in five months, and anyone who read my July report might note the objectives were entirely different. July was a 14-day trip, with a firm objective of keeping all smoking materials to an average of E7 per gram or less. This was a 3 1/2-day trip, so price ...

Another fine effort, jBomb. We'll be there next week, so I'll have to go back and re-read your posts before then, and try to pick up three or four essentials for our grocery list. In that vein...you probably addressed this somewhere back in the posts, but since you're a fan of the Grey Area Crystals...

Put out a joint on his head? That's truly priceless. I wouldn't have had time to think about doing it, because I would've bitch-slapped the idiot, hoping and praying he'd do something so I could go Ranger on his ass.

But that was better.

First, I'd like to say, YAYYYY CARDINALS! I went to all the World Series games, and after Game 5, just to escape the downtown hellhole, went to this little college bar across from SLU, and MY GOD, there were so many hot chicks there and ... Oh, wow, that was such a male thing to get into. May I poin...

What VP said. My parents, who travel extensively, told me before I went that many of their traveling partners (they tour in groups) found that withdrawing money from ATMs was actually more cost-effective than exchanging real, hard cash. Stupid as it sounds, you get a better exchange rate, and fewer ...

Other than what's already been said...don't walk in front of bicycles. They have the right of way. If you hear a horn honking incessantly, and don't know why, it's probably because you're screwing up and blocking their way.

Bonglord, have you posted a trip report yet? There's some stuff in there begging for elaboration. Why avoid Greenhouse? What about the Jelly Hash at Blue Velvet? I ask because I'm so completely in agreement with you on Willie Nelson being overrated (ridiculously so), and sticking to Laughing Buddha ...
