Amsterdam here we come !

Hello.
Me and a friend going to Amsterdam on tuesday 21 feb.
We havnt booked any hotels.
Do anyone know about cheap hostels or hotels?
We will stay for two days.
Or is it hard to just show up witout a reservation ?
