Re: Utopia

Went in last night for my traditional 1st smoke. Thought I might go for cheapncheerful power plant, which I realised I'd never tried, but previously unknown Dutch bartendress recommended a sour kush, & after smelling both I agreed, & went for what I think is the only change to the menu. Shal...

Re: de Graal

Bought KH as well - no sweats nor ducks, but good - & sour diesel at €10. Damned if I can upload new menu pic from phone, which was rather the point.

Re: de Graal

Chaotic or not, I'm drooling. I'll be getting into A'dam late tomorrow, and hope to make it to de Graal before it shuts at midnight. The only problem will be not having enough time to sample the entire menu, but I'll give it my best shot. Cheers, Lem.

Re: Utopia

Re: traveling outside the Netherlands with cannabis

If they get sued for that sort of search, and lose, doesn't that rather prove that those searches do go on? That's what the police tend to do, counting on the fact that they can intimidate most people into not taking action, particularly when they've already caught them with a bit of whatever.

Re: Trolling

Cheers for the info, though you could have spared the condescending tone. After all, I never took the piss out of your attempt at Latin.

It's gambling, and past performance is no guarantee of future security. Only the person carrying nothing has nothing to fear. So ride your bike without a helmet if you don't mind the risk.

Re: Trolling

What's Flamingo? The search facility on here tells me it's either a closed shop in the Hague, or something in a rather picturesque suburb of Utrecht with the charming if formidable name of Driebergen-Rijsenburg. Which all seems a tad far from de Pijp.

Re: Netherlands 19/06/14 - 22/06/14

I love de Os as well – can't remember what I bought there, but it was always top-notch. The atmosphere is good as well, and they've got a couple of computer terminals you can use for free. Be warned, though, that they have the most uncomfortable wooden seats I've ever encountered. I could understand...

Re: Den Haag

Dizzy Duck, that was it. The thread is at https://www.coffeeshopdirect.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=28982&p=367418&hilit=hague#p367418. Sounds good. Cremers is definitely special. It's technically not a coffeeshop that serves alcohol, because that's illegal now, as we all know. When you...

Re: Netherlands 19/06/14 - 22/06/14

We are spending the first night in Leeuwarden A man of taste. I do envy you. If you're dropping in at Repelsteeltje, could you check the menu to see whether those idiosyncratically named weed strains (Rotkäppchen or whatever the Dutch for that is, that sort of thing) have made a comeback? Some of t...

Re: Den Haag

No wietpas in den Haag. The only coffeeshop I visited, as opposed to looked into, was Cremers, which is well worth a visit. There's another one mentioned on another thread which I must have missed out on, which is a shame. But I'll be back one day.

Re: May 21-2Something

On a rather dreary point of fact, the train from Amsterdam to Haarlem now costs €4.

Still a bargain, and worth it for Birdy alone.
