Re: Layover in Amsterdam

I know you don't know this but I am not a 'dude', I am a female. And yes, meeting a total stranger for drugs in a foreign country is scary. Is that weird or something?

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that what we get here in the U.S. is not even close to what is in the Netherlands. So I'm probably a light weight by your standards. 2 may be a little much for me. But I guess if it is you can always just keep it for yourself?

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

So I'm looking at my itinerary and assuming the times listed are local. If that is true I will be in Amsterdam for 3.5 hours starting at 10:50 AM on Aug 5.

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

Red cubes....makes sense. Is that INSIDE the airport, just outside security? Joints or edible? Being an American, all that's running through my head is "stranger danger" haha. Just no rufies....lol

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

Red cubes? I'd have to make sure I had the window seat lol Preferably the first row so I can stretch out.

That does sound a little implausible....? It would be a story for the grandkids though lol.....assuming it's legal by then....probably not :-/

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

Haha trust me I've thought about it! If it weren't my department paying for it I'd "accidentally" miss my train but unfortunately I have to defend my thesis like 2 days later and then start back at school :-/ That whole speeding around with the extra 30 mins doesn't sound worth it. I'm sur...

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

Nice! Thanks! Sounds like the airport might be cool enough for a couple hours lol My time at London-Heathrow was kinda funny....I sat down to get on my laptop and one of those moving sidewalks was in front of me but was broken. I probably watched 20 people walk onto it....stop....realize it was brok...

Re: Layover in Amsterdam

Thanks for the quick response. I actually tried to change my flight - Tovertorp is in the middle of nowhere and I would have to get a shuttle the day before the course ends and just kinda....hang out....in Stockholm for a day - flights were $1,600 more than they were just a couple months ago!! Don't...

Layover in Amsterdam

Hi all, I live in the US and am taking a course in Tovetorp, Sweden in 3 weeks. I have a 2 hour layover at AMS on the way there and 2.5 hour layover on the way back. I would like to get out, take a cab somewhere and visit a coffeeshop or something but don't know what security is like at AMS. I also ...
