Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

My how time flies. We will be in Amsterdam tomorrow morning!!!!!! Guys I need some advice before my flight touches down in the morning: what are some of the coffeeshops with early opening times, around 7 or 8, located around Centraal Station? Thanks everyone, and hope to see some of you during this ...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I'm sure it will come in handy at one point or another. It's crazy to think that in less than two months my brother and I are going to be there. I do have a question for anyone who knows the layout of JFK in NYC: our times have changed and we will only have an hou...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Haha matty, they caught you Red handed lol. From what I've read making a photocopy of your passport, like you said, will likely suffice for the police if you don't have your actual passport on you. I don't mean for this to sound biased or anything, and I know that every city, police force, etc. has ...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

UPDATE! For those who have been keeping tabs on my thread there is good news I have yet to share. First off, my passport is cozily sitting in my safety deposit box, as is my brother's, and they literally took less than a month to get. That being said, this trip is now 99.99% confirmed, the .01% bein...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

LA 2019, I don't mind the long post because it was all very informative. Thanks much. And FlyByNite I'll be leaving come 11am on January 3rd (I thought I wrote it in my last post, but now I see I had not. oops lol) I do have a question about the Betty Boop juicebar: does it have decent gear at a fai...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

UPDATE: The tickets are purchased for the flights! I will be leaving America December 18th and arriving in Amsterdam the 19th at around 6 in the morning. Also, I will not be alone, as my twin brother has decided to join me on this expedition after weeks of me "geeking" about it. Our beds a...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Matty, you keep saying that Barney's isn't worth the price for what you get. What would be some of the gear or places you say is best as far as effect, cost, etc.?

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Thanks washdc for the info, I hope that since it will kinda be the off season there that the lounge won't be as full as you've personally experienced. Hopefully Barney's won't try getting me at the door if I go there, or at least till I'm on my way out  . Either way, when this next paycheck com...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Oh trust me Braunezucker, I picked the Pig Downtown for that very reason (well, that and it's cheap, win-win 8) ). I guess my only concern with staying at the pig would be the amount (or lack) of sleep I get there, whether it be from partying guests or what-not. Would you say that once the bar close...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Thanks again guys for the tips, I'm sure that they all will come in handy at some point during this trip. As far as musical interest, I'm pretty open minded to everything, but I do heavily prefer rock 'n' roll, metal, some screamo, not a huge death metal guy (and for those who don't know that there ...

Re: First Trip to Amsterdam

Thanks guys for your help. I'm totally into history (one of my best subjects), music is basically my life, I'm pretty picky about food, but I do love burgers and fries, so when I seen the burger bar I knew I'd have to check it out. I like mostly american foods (go figure) but I do also like italian,...
