I have stayed at both expensive hotels costing me a fortune with fancy restaurants and the cheapest hostels to wake up finding I had thrown up my McDonalds in my sleep.

Always found the cheaper stays were more memorable and met the more interesting people there.

Usually my first stop in Amsterdam for a space cake, quick smoke and nice cup of tea. The Indian theme with the wonderful wooden carving of Ganesh gives the place a chilled out vibe, so the occasional techno/trance seems to clash. Went here 10 years ago when a very stoned white cat would walk all over the counter and through your cheese toastie... hilarious, look forward to seeing if its still there!

So looking forward to return to GA this Wednesday, its been too long!
