Re: Salmiak

Great stuff, thanks. Liquorice is a taste; salmiak is a drug.

Salmiak

Odd that I was ignorant of this for so long. Odder still that there's only one reference to it here, as powder.

But where does one buy the powder? AH only do conventional sorts.

Re: Is there a Doctor Grinspoon in the house?

It's in Katsu at the moment at 1.3g for €20. Very nice indeed.

Re: Katsu

Forgot the specials board:

Sampled most of their black hashes, all very nice. Tri Sulu perhaps the standout, or is that just the exotic factor? Somari is the only weed I got here, again would recommend.

Re: Ibiza

This is the menu on the login page of their free wifi, not the actual one in the shop, though it's pretty close. I had a 5g deal on the Nepal, then went back on my last day to try the Green Crack, because I had to, after all the hype. But I'm pretty sure the price was €15, not €16. The former was en...

Re: Utopia

Latest: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/kurwamac/umenu_zpsd67e59da.jpg I'm furious with myself with getting that tired G-13 when I arrived instead of Agent Orange, and it's gone now. What was I thinking? I blame the freezing cold and the fact that Ingi wasn't there that day. Great shop, as alw...

Re: Katsu

I've sent FBN menus from this week, and they're at http://coffeeshopmenus.org/Katsu/Menus/Katsu.html. But I suspect you were referring to the display cabinet: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/kurwamac/katsu238_zps0b7fc97d.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v12/kurwamac/katsu2382_zpsa42881db....

Re: Utopia

The Amnesia Cream breaks my €10 rule, as much does, & is dark & quite nice, though perhaps overpriced. Meant to try Phul, & hope to succeed tonight.

Menu pic too large to attach, apparently.

Am in Utopia, & finding the G-13a tad dry. Menu pic to follow at some point, technology allowing.

Re: Worst coffee shop experience

I may be alone in this, but I've often had more confidence in a pre-weighed bag. It's easy enough for an individual budtender to decide to underweight you. And, of course, even easier for you to feel paranoid that they might have done, because, well, you've been smoking, haven't you? But if they're ...

Re: The ultimate coffee shop

The problem with a cover charge to exclude the riffraff is that the people who want to exclude the riffraff are precisely the riffraff one would like to exclude. Yo-Yo's a lovely shop, natural light, roomy, adequate mid-range smokeables. The only quarrel I have with it is that it looks like the sort...

Re: The final frontier

My basic rule, which I break from time to time, probably more for weed than hash, is not to go over €10, unless it's really worth it. Hash that's worth it for me used to be Bluebird's water-pressed, but it wasn't in stock, and the other offerings didn't tempt me. And, of course, Birdy's jelly, but I...

Re: Coffeeshops That Sell Pipes

Not just forgetful. I tend to hand over my cheap (£2 + a packet of screens) pipe to the budtender before leaving, and tell him or her to give it to whoever needs one, as I don't want a curious dog to uncover it and encourage people in uniform to take an interest in me. However, the one time I didn't...

Re: The final frontier

Arrived at Centraal Station relatively early. As I was staying at the Botel, thought I might as well drop off my bags before starting the day, thinking that it would take roughly as long as previous trips across the Ij via the free ferries. Hadn't quite realised that the one to the NDSM wharf takes ...
