Overview: Eindhoven(reup)+Updates

Post by Jesscass »

When Eindhoven stopped dreadful Wietpas for half a year in 2015(July?)I immediately went in August for two visits. Before that I went for years and know all shops from personal experience. Since I was so happy I thought of writting a little overview about this city. I did. Then the forum broke down and this overview was lost. I just visited this week again and thought I put it up another time for people like to go, too. Lost my original text though.

Another rough guide. By the way Eindhoven I have to say isn't that beautiful but grey and industrial so again can't comment on other things to do(no offence intended)but there are green spaces if you look for them. I tried to give an general opinion on quality regarding coffeeshops I visited a lot in the past. Most places carry the usual standard strains and one or two hazes, hashish generally speaking tends to be of better quality. Not much menu changes again mostly. Places are quite modern in general and as usual outside of Amsterdam not close together often. Don't expect pictures but enjoy:

Indian

In 2015 I didn't visit as I was told it's closed. Fortunately not the case though. Interior is second best after Sindbad's, atmosphere seems to be way better though. Popular with the locals but a bit out of centre. Medium to big sized shop. About five strains of grass(White Widow, Northern Lights, Amnesia and Super Silver) and two of hashish. Weird pricing policy here, means you maybe get 1,1g weed for 10€ but 0,9g for 10€ of an other strain of weed(which is confusing as it has nothing to do with quality as it seems). Their Super Silver looked nice enough and I had it in the past(12€/g). This time I went for their best hashish(moroccan,10€/g)which was a nice enough piece of hash on par with Casa Blanca's best for the same price but different.
Quality in general: average to good.

High Times

Medium to big sized locals place out of centre. About five strains of wiet and hasj each, pre-packed and two types of bags to choose from. Had a renovation in 2015. Also there is a billard table.
Only shop with a vaporizer in Eindhoven as far as I know(verdamper). Went for Original Haze(about 12€)and a bit of hashish(moroccan, 8€/g)which were both nice enough. One of my favourite places to hang out since Snooker(rest in peace)is closed. Popular with the locals too so often packed in the evenings.

The Cool

Another one with a renovation during my abscence as I went in 2015, comfy and modern(like most shops in Eindhoven)medium sized place. About five strains of wiet and hasj. Met the turkish owner again then and had his best moroccan(10€)which was again nice enough classic tasting moroccan. Definitely a locals place. Quality in general: average to good enough.

Meetpoint

Small and bright shop. Usual suspects on the menu, if memory serves me right in 2015 also Candy Kush available. Two types of bags there and pre-packed gear. Quality in general: average to good enough.

Casa Blanca

Medium sized and basic moroccan owned joint. Didn't visit much in the past but gave it another go in 2015 after many years without visiting. Also had a look this time but nothing changed. I think three or four moroccans on offer and similar when it comes to grass. Last year if memory serves me right I even tried their classic moroccan hash for 8€ and 10€('Rif Special')which were good value for money. If you're after the more classic moroccans go there. Not so special though. Quality in general: average to good enough.

Snooker

Special mention as this place is closed due to stupid Bibop law( http://www.dutchamsterdam.nl/259-bibob )in the meantime. I wonder which coffeeshop would survive this, so unfair! Really a shame since this local's place was my favourite hang out. Quality was average to good enough but atmosphere was sort of special. This time I walked down memory lane just to be sure(see Indian)it's really closed with my own eyes. Unfortunately it is. I had a joint and remembered some good times. Still looked the same with signs on and stuff. Maybe because the owner tried to fight sentence until about two years ago. Again, such a shame! You will be greatly missed, Snooker :( !

Highlander

Haven't been ages until 2015. Strictly a buy and fly locals place. About five strains of grass and hash available. Had a look at some standard strains and they looked nice enough, pre-packed. Owner sold me his best moroccan(10€/g)which was a good enough classic moroccan. Was also allowed to sit down for a tea and rolling while I watched a steady stream of locals popping in for a pick-up. Also some tourists. More of a quiet guy but was happy to give me directions as I was lost.

Sindbad

Turkish owned medium sized place. Didn't change much when I visited in 2015. Really fancy interior I haven't come across much when it comes to coffeeshops in general so definitely deserves a mention. Atmosphere is a bit odd though haven't been that often though. Menu is nothing special, about five strains of wiet and hasj. I remember their 'Sudden Death"(indica, about 8-9€)was still on and nothing else changed, too. Funny name.
I remember had some foreign moroccan in 2015 for about 8€ which was second best after The Wall's(pre-packed).

The Wall

Place to go, especially for hashish. Been in 2015, got the Crystal(10€/g)and Royal(12€)which were both quite good moroccans with foreign genetics. They weigh in front of you and it tends to be a place for picking up only as not much atmosphere. Menu changes regulary, more weedwise. Quality in general: good to very good.

This time I had Crystal Polm(moroccan, 9€/g)which was new on the menu and Royal(moroccan,12€/g). Crystal Polm was one of those quite blonde 'dry' moroccans of sandy texture.Flowerish tasting and provinding a clear high. I haven't seen such moroccans since a long time even though they're not that rare but must have to do with so called high grade at popular shops nowadays often comes with foreign genetics(only El Marssa's best springs to mind lately. This certainly was a better quality though but similar.), also haven't seen this on The Wall's menu yet. Best value for money in Eindhoven!
The Royal was nice enough but liked it more in 2015. Also chose between Diamond Haze(13€/g)and Himalayan Haze(12€/g) for latter one. Bit dry like so often with coffeeshop gear but proper looking bud. More like Mount Blanc effectwise though.
Weed on was: White Russian(10€/g), Snow White(10€/g), Wall Special(11€/g), Himalayan Haze(12€)and Diamond Haue(13€/g). Hash: Twisla(7€/g), Crystal Polm(9€/g)and Royal(12€/g).

Eurogarden

Turkish owned and due to a shitty glass cage since smoking ban small place(before it was decently sized, shame). Have been in 2015 and not much has changed. Usual suspects on the menu here as well. I remember their hashish was nice enough too but always prefered The Wall and Grasshopper(rest in peace). Two types of bags to choose from. Quality in general: average to good.

New Wave

Medium to big sized shop. Another one looking like one of those modern lounges. Once had much more variation on but in 2015 and also this time I only found about three strains of wiet and two of hasj on the menu. Even before the Wietpas this place went down in quality. Quality in general: average to good enough.

Grasshopper

Special mention as it's another victim of Bibop( http://www.dutchamsterdam.nl/259-bibob )and closed down in the meantime. Now there's a random pizza place. Shame as this small and modern place used to be one of the best in Eindhoven. Turkish guys there sold very good Amnesia like ten years ago when this strain wasn't all over the country and coffeeshops but something special(sick of it nowadays when it comes to coffeeshops). Also remember their fine Twisla(moroccan, about 8€)and Caramel(moroccan, 12€/1,4g  ). One of the few coffeeshops able to offer proper gear weed- and hashwise. Rest in peace, Grasshopper :( !

The Pink

Most popular place in Eindhoven. Zeer gezellig! With good reason, bright and medium sized place with sun blind being open in good weather in the back. Went again in 2015 and also now. Spotted about six strains for weed and about the same for hashish. Place to go for weed but their hash isn't that bad, too(still prefer other places for that). Pre-packed gear and mostly two types of bags available. Menu changes regulary. Quality in general: good to very good.

Despite Power Kush(about 12€?)new on the menu I got me some NYC Diesel(15€ for handy to weigh 1,26g). Not their flaghship(which was Amnesia which looked nice enough but still sick of it) effectwise but all about the taste I was told. By no means I'm an expert and only had a few Diesels in the past(tend to lack potency anyway I heard) but this one had not much in common with weird and grapefruity tasting Diesel from Toermalijn some years back. Quite the opposite as scraggy and only a bit sweet smelling. Even vaped it at High Times but wasn't that impressed. Even had good enough indica efffects while supposed to be a mostly sativa. They now beside Twisla(15€ for handy 1,26g)had another showpiece moroccan, Champagne(15€ for handy to weigh 1,26g), so I had a look and will probably try it next time.

Apotheker

Strictly small buy and fly place. About five strains of grass and hash, also on display. Sometimes special stuff not so common anymore. New on the menu was Gardela(moroccan, 9€/g)which again says something about availability. Café/bar De Bakkerij is also located in the same building and they share their patio while belonging together but has got an separate entrance. Relatively big place. Also some parties or live music on every now and then. The place to socialise. During the week at least open until 1:30 AM(or 2AM?)and until 4AM on weekends. Don't know if this special licence has to do with also being on Stratumseind(lots of pubs and bars). Quality in general: average to good enough.

Upstairs

Located on famous Stratumseind(lots of pubs and bars). As name suggests above a pub. Medium sized and bright place. Was in 2015 and also now again. Again about six strains of each grass and hash(saw something named Cheese there). Had a look at some ridiculously name Kush and Caramello(moroccan, 11€/g)which looked okish. Two type of bags of pre-packed gear. Quality in general: average to good enough.

La Folie

Is a smoker friendly pub with a nice atmosphere. I haven't been for ages though.

I liked your lost Eindhoven report very much  It´s awesome that you take the time to reup a new report! Great work thanks a lot :D

By the way I have the plan to go to Eindhoven this week to check out the Crystal Polm and Royal from the Wall  Unfortunately I will have not so much time on my trip.... so I will visit the wall and one or two other Shops in the near of the Station (probably Pink and Casablanca).

@Black-King
Thank you!

@Marok21
Thank you as well! Liked my other lost version as a bit more anecdotal even by my standards. By the way it's about time too, cho, as you already mentioned your intention to go last year so don't be a fucking deadbeat  !
Personally I'd skip Casa Blanca as really not too special(noticed this time while reporting I was a bit too positive about this little shithole  as until 2015 I didn't visit for years for good reason but was nonetheless good enough stuff I got unexpectedly last times.)but as it's nearby Pink why not take a look I assume.
Maybe better have a look at Pink's offers of resin though. I will get some next time! I'd suggest Sindbad instead but it's too far away in this case. Feel free of course to use this thread for your report and enjoy your visit!

@Papi
Nice you too enjoyed the Crystal Polm; really a bit special oldschool moroccan, well at least nowadays. I read you've also been to New Wave not to other places, no?!

Enjoyable read. I keep telling myself I'll get there one day, but something always gets in the way.

That crystal Polm reminded me of the days that i started smoking, really oldschool taste buzz and vibe. I've been to Pink, De Bakkerij(Apotheker), New Wave, Wall and Eurogarden but didn't buy anything there. Will do a proper strain update today since i'm still coming down from 420 week.

@FatOldDwarf

Cheers! I think you don't miss anything really as pointed out, especially if you're into a bit of culture. Philips is definitely a ruler in Eindhoven and a lot of things make sense from this perspective; there are a lot of uglier places on this planet though. However, on my way to Highlander noticed http://www.dafmuseum.nl/nl-nl along the way and from there it's a good excuse to visit Highlander(strictly buy and fly!) and Sindbad for some sort of civilised consumption(bit dark though). Area around museum there is green but still Eindhoven's landscape architecture is a bit weird, artificial if that makes sense; a nice stroll though.

@Papi

Cheers again, seemed you were well connected in your starting days then, in my case it was shitty soapbar, too often  ! By the way can relate to coming down as I read elsewhere you stated you're a bit sick of it after a couple of days of consuming. Tolerance goes through the roof and shit, I know! Nowadays I tend to be done after an overnighter as tolerance kicks in faster and faster after all those years and consuming doesn't make much sense then at all, at least for me. Take your time!

Sort of déjàvu again this week as I had the chance like in 2015 to go again so almost two times in a row(changed thread title for eventual future additions).

The Wall

This time both Crystal Polm and Royal were even better batches. Crystal Polm certainly oilier(which is almost a bummer considering its dusty and dry texture before as this was perfect for rolling up a joint fast in opposite to those often pretty oily moroccans with foreign genetics these days. Mokum on here mentioned this the other day. Definitely a downside of progress in the hash game nowadays. First world problems  ?!) when picking up and Royal had much more smell(foreign genetics this time), sort of 'fresh' and strong enough(more a stoney one).
Good time to score at the minute  !

Pink

Opted for the last baggie of 'Power Kush' as I was after that sort(about 10€/g if memory serves me right)which smelt kushy but effect, taste and certainly look were mediocore. On the other hand chose between 'Twisla'(moroccan, 15€/1,26g)and 'Champagne'(blonde moroccan, 15€/1,26g)for latter one as particular more smell and also limited offer according to friendly budtenderness.
Classic moroccan sweet taste and nice mix of high and stoned. Along with The Wall's Royal(12€/g)most probably the best to get in Eindhoven at the moment.

Also went to Highlander(opens at 11 o'clock by the way, 5 strains of wiet, about 13€/g mamimum and 3 of hasj, 10€/g maxmimum which is 'Ketama Gold' and was lovely classic moroccan in 2015)and was told by the owner to get a bag of Amnesia I'm always keen to buy(10€/0,7g)which was a good example and all that but Pink's looked better(guy at a table we shared had it last visit), also still not so much after that one  .
At Sindbad same budtender even though haven't visited much like everytime(+10 years)was handing me a bag of Twisla(moroccan, 8€/0,8g)as their best. Last year it was as reported quite nice foreign genetics moroccan similar to The Wall's Crystal(10€/g)back then, not this time though, only okish for the price and classic moroccan by the way.
Too had a look at renovated Meet Point( Brabants Wiet, White Widow, Haze, Amnesia Haze on offer weedwise, hashwise two sorts and Caramello Gold represents their best I tried at one point over the years, which was ok.)which now is a tad bigger but nothing has changed it seemed including resolute budtenderness  .
Apotheker and New Wave again had nothing new on but at Eurogarden I spotted and smelt some Cheese(11€/g)which at least had this type of aroma but was looking for ice-o-lator(they had it in the past but not anymore. No big deal as it wasn't for smoking anyway.). A kush they listed as well and about four moroccans and one nepal. Will keep it in mind for next time as Cheese is usually rare in Eindhoven at least before the damn Wietpas so every mediocore example is better than nothing  .
Of course chilled at High Times :D !

so I was there last weekend  and yes it was worth it :D

After working until midday I had not so much time for my trip but in the end I was pretty lucky and had enough time to enjoy the trip  I wasn´t in Eindhoven since years and couldn´t remember exactly where Coffeeshop the Wall and Pink are located^^ While I was driving to Eindhoven I noticed that I forgot my mobile in the hecticness at home :? So no Google maps... I don´t know how I did it but I went exactly to the two Coffeeshops without any further searching  I knew more or less in what direction they are located of course but it was pretty lucky and saved me a lot of time :D

Coffeeshop The Wall

The first thing that I noticed was that nice hash smell in the air when comming in :D .Friendly young girl and mid aged moroccan guy at the counter... many local guys were in there and others come for a buy and fly... I hadn´t much memory of the interior from my last visits because it wasn´t allowed to smoke in there years ago if I remember correctly...the shop itself is pretty small with a big table in the midle and just a few small dishes around... so not the best shop to chill.

I asked the girl behind the counter if I could take a look at their Royal (12€/g) and Crystal Polm 9€/g(meanwhile I noticed that many locals bought the royal). She was very friendly and let me time to look and smell at it. Like Jesscass reported the crystal polm is a nice blonde moroccan with nice taste and "clear" high. I also didn´t saw hash like that for longer time and was happy to enjoy that nice blonde hasj... probably real moroccan genetics :D

The Royal was of great quality. I think I got the same batch as Jesscass on his last trip. A little darker very fine hash... I was looking for hash like that on my last trips to Amsterdam but didn´t find any... by the way I will check out some of the moroccan owned shops in Amsterdam West next time to find similar hash like that :D
Especially when I smelled the Royal for the first time I knew that it is good quality  also effect is strong enough more on the stoney side but still with uplifting effects to me :D

Coffeeshop Pink - much better shop to chill and smoke a joint. Jesscass got the last bag of "Power Kush" ^^ so it was not on the menu anymore  I asked the friendly female budtender if she could give me an advice... she asked me if I want to get high or stoned. I was looking for a uplifting effect so she said: Ok so you are looking for a indica  so I took a look at their Amnesia Haze. And I liked what I saw and smelled but the smell didn´t transfer to the taste very much and it was pretty harsh to smoke. Anyway it was much better than the other weed you get can get in the shops in South Limburg (where tourists allowed) lol
I also tried the Champagne Hash  Nice clean smelling polm hash liked it, too :D Also good quality

@Jesscass seems like we bought exactly the same hash at the Wall and Pink :D Thx again for your great report it gave me the motivation for the trip  I think I will definitely go back there maybe this month.

A true aficiando of wiet and hasj finds his way, if necessary blind! Another proof you're one of them  ! By the way the same with me when returned to Eindhoven last year(of course).

Not that this is too important but if memory serves me right The Wall is also owned by turkish people, in the end only quality matters though; doesn't matter where and which nation sells it to me. You're right shortly after the smoking ban was introduced you couldn't smoke there. Ages ago they even had two internet computers with costs and before that big table now there was a billard table.

Yes, indeed this time we scored the same hashish, funny! Thanks for your feedback and glad you enjoyed them :D !

About the Royal I'm afraid you won't find something similar at those shops around Amsterdam West but you never know(should be available in town though as definitely nice but not something super rare). I too again can propagate visiting El Marssa aka 'tram blockade' as I've been just recently again for the second time.
Another fine visit as I even spotted some moroccan style pancakes served there('Baghrir' I too have every now and then at very similar moroccan establishments back at home) by same older budtender who was busy that morning as he was handling drinks, snacks and gear while still being welcoming again.
So a little gem at least for me; said it before would be my local hang out if I'd live nearby. If you're looking for some 'Crystal Polm Enhanced' go for their blonde 'Super Marssa'(12€/g) as bought it again myself(nonetheless The Wall's Crystal Polm is still very nice for the price).
Was satisfied as last time. Also had a look at their Twizzla(9€/g) and it seemed worth a try. Since you talked to Pengaldinho about it too I've a feeling there is a picture coming up  ?! Enjoy!

On the other hand if you're after the classic moroccans I can again recommend coffeeshop THC in Arnhem as time seems to stand still there a bit because they offer an special assortment of classic moroccan hashish mostly(more a thing of polm-like hashes and flavours not so common anymore).
Even though a bit pricy and my last visit wasn't that impressive but still ok enough(apart from that there is always De Walm which offers best value for money when it comes to moroccan hashish in town.
One with foreign genetics and a classic one both under 10€/g. Never let me down yet. Please remember this shop isn't open on weekends though! Coffeeshop Upstairs also sells good moroccan every now and then too, De Walm is a sure shot though! Also one of the best for wiet. Moroccan owned Omigo's Super Pollen is nice as well. Uncle Sam is another moroccan joint there with the usual classic quality(8€&10€) on offer, sort of comfy place also, only go there every now and then though ).
Nijmegen is nearby which is more than a bonus as well(you know for yourself
no shop really can fuck with the K   ).
C'mon, bro, these are solid reasons to go and we discussed this before so
finally get your arse to Arnhem, too   !

About the Power Kush at Pink I can assure you you didn't miss anything, quite average.

@Pengaldinho

Cheers!

Finally here's my report from last week:

After greetings dutch budtender I've never seen at The Wall before immediately told me the Super Pollen is finished(this time 6€/g, they seem to consider quality pricewise, too). Sort of telepathy as indeed checking out lower priced range of menus lately out of sheer boredom(or do consumers of Super Pollen have a certain look? ) .
So would have most probably taken a look but so be it. Later while sitting down realized he did this with others too but also noticed lots of people were asking for it.
Weedwise same stuff as last time, Amnesia and Super Silver both 12€/g. Guy also raved about the Santa Maria(9€/g)which smelt nice but sort of looked average with tiny buds. What ever, got me some Cristal(moroccan, this time 10€/g)and Royal(moroccan, 12€/g).
Cristal didn't have much smell but tasted nice; can't describe taste though. Major letdown was effects were very weak, 6€ would have been a better price tag then(but maybe could get away with being a 'sativa high par exellence keeping you active all day' these days   . Not tolerance related I can tell you. ).
Royal's smell and taste was more intense. Best tasting piece of resin this trip, body stoned effects were ok enough. Bit more spicy in taste than the Cristal, hard to put.
Both pieces were foreign genetics(dutch strains) like the stuff Boerejongens/Tweede Kamer sell in Amsterdam. Soft as budder but still not too oily.
Even though it was during the week The Pink was quite packed, local there coming more often told me it's like that every day lately, oh my.
Noticed 'Chocolope Block'('Made from seeds from DNA Genetics in Morocco' , 15€ for handy to weigh 1,21g), 'White Rhino Block'('Made with seeds from Greenhouse Seeds in Morocco', 54€/5g)and 'Bad Boys'('Best hash from Tidighine, Morocco', 15€ for handy to weigh 1,24g) and Twisla(forgot exact amount but more than the others)on the menu and told budtenderness what I'm after and wanted to take a look at all of them. She wouldn't tell me why they don‘t do single grams of White Rhino(can't say it often enough had one heavy experience with that strain like six years back at Boerejeongens/Amsterdam but never found such a nice example again)which was one of those nearly black moroccans with foreign genetics and looking promising. Fuck them for this, never bought 5gs of one strain at a coffeeshop as it's all about testing!
She then told me the Chocolope one is the strongest but her pick would be the Bad Boys for its great taste. Crystal clear I'm going for the Chocolope then even though don't have a good feeling when thinking of weak Chocolope and its reputation for that(only had it on very few occassions for some reasons but remember we had a phenotype of Breeders Choice/Sannie's Anesthesia smelling and tasting like Chocolate while still being strong enough; there is at least one phenotype doing its strain name justice)but at a coffeeshop you never know what to expect in the end so fuck it  .
Taste isn't as pronounced as The Wall's best but it certainly has more effects, strong body stoned for a moroccan hash. So this is the overall winner of this trip hashwise then.
Someone on here(Pengaldinho?) mentioned those moroccans with that type of foreign genetics seem to have(obviously)a different high compared to classic moroccans; to me they seem to be even more one dimonesional compared to the classic gear, less rounded.
Also went for a bag of 'White Cheese'(15€ for 1,45g which is handy to weigh and that's why full of stalks   )which didn't look too bad but only had average effects and taste.

Also visited The Cool again but didn't purchase anything; sat down for a tea though. At Upstairs as an exception got two space brownies('half of each for a beginner', 5€/each)and also a space cookie from Pink(4€)which all had not much effect, again not tolerance related.
Better still do it myself but at least gave it a go after years of avoiding it  .
Planned on relaxing at the New Wave, has been some time. Unfortunately they only had two ok enough looking classic moroccans on offer( wiet I forgot but with good reason most probably  )so went back to Eurogarden to get some 'Girl Scout Cookies Block'(14€/g)I have been before to be sure I don't miss anything. Bummer, as this place is a convenient one but menuwise they sucked hard since their closure for a couple of months years back; seems they never recovered. So sitting in Eurogarden's small glass chamber then(shame what this place had to turn to after tobacco ban)but not too crowdy so all good. Also surprised to find another one of this type of resin here.
Not too much of a smell compared to the others(similar in intensity to the Cristal from the Wall)but second strongest hash and taste was there(somewhat unexpecdtedly spicy judged by strain name), too. Eurogarden is usually a bit steep in price so wonder what others would have charged for but a nice piece of hash. By the way this one was more smelling like a traditional hash compared to the other ones I got this trip; Marok21 on here mentioned something similar when he said that the first batches of that type of hash were more smelling like weed, the newer ones more like hash.
So taking this into consideration as well as the fact I found this 'Amnesia Block' from Boerejongens on a hashish spree across Gelderland in Nijmegen lately(at T'Kunstje & Kronkel) it seems they're now available throughout the Netherlands and wonder myself when there will be more available for the other black markets around Europe as the rest of the world. Again, still it seems plenty of traditional moroccan around but again for how long?
As discussed in the Boerejongens/Amsterdam Genetics thread on here some of them, the early ones, seem to be not as well processed as newer batches so I wonder if the Cristal from The Wall or Kronkel's Amnees Hash are less quality sievings.
Most probably so. I mean Kronkel's only was 7,70€/g and having a pungent smell and taste but what's the point if it looks good but doesn't deliver a proper high(to be fair as I'm usual anyway Kronkel's had better effect than the Cristal).
Bit of a deceptive package then to me(T'Kunstje's on the other hand was spot on and as good as at Boerejongens' shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y58SVStfhnA, know both from personal experience.).
Let's hope importeurs and farmers get their shit together. Also again hopefully original moroccan landrace won't disappear.
While it was sort of forseeable foreign genetics will capture the market it is somewhat boring seeing them now here; also funny when I think about how amazed we were when we discovered that 'Marnesia Nights'(16€/g on introduction back then, supposed to be from Amnesia plants harvested in Morocco. Wonder what it really was as in retrospect more reminded me of today's highgrade Pakis/Afghanis from Morocco)at beloved Toermalijn in Tilburg in 2010.

Also been to High Times but this trip spent more time at smoker friendly bar La Folie since ages.

Great update Jesscass :D I am pretty busy in the last month... lot of work and no real free time to post here on the forum...

Interesting to hear that there are more and more "new genetics" hashes available in other shops in Nl. There are pros and cons... I mean it´s nice to have more variety and tastes... also like the "old" owner of Tweede Kammer Coffeeshop said (while the block hash testing at Boerejongens) it´s good for the farmers because they can harvest more times a year than with only the classic genetics... in the end they get more money. On the other hand the classic genetics become less and less and damn I love them so much. There will be still some classic genetics left (or the "newer" paki, india genetics) but it´s getting more rare :? Another point is that the weed growers in Nl have more and more trouble to do their work and so the quality goes down as we all know... in Morocco u don´t have that problems so much... so maybe u will see that new "block" hashes A LOT more in the future and with that "new" market there is a option for a few people to make a lot of money...
The "new" batches I tried from the Boerejongens testing were more hash like than many other block hashes I tried before. Most of the batches they gave us for testing were made of strains crossed with "(White?) Choco" like AK-Choco Block and Kosher-Choco Block. You still taste and smell the new genetics but it reminds me also of some good hash I know from the past (maybe thats because of the "Choco" part)... I prefer that as a hash smoker.
By the way I also want to visit Eindhoven in december so I will check out some of their new hash offers.

The Wall

It was pretty early in the morning and I was the only customer in the shop. On the menu were Royal (12€/g), Crystal (10€/g) and Super Polm (6€/g) on the hashside... I didn´t really looked at their weed menu  :D The friendly younger dealer was proud to show me his hashes and told me that the owner smokes hash only and he really try to find only nice hashes for selling in this shop... I know that many dealers talk a lot of stuff about their gear but when you smoke their hashes you know that they really look at the quality.

Royal (12€/g) - Different than the last batches I had. This time not so dark... a more blonde hash with a nice natural hash smell :D probably made of foreign genetics but the taste is more like a classic import hash. Not so super soft and sticky but after holding it for a few seconds in the hand it´s get pretty soft. The effect is also strong enough and more stony to me... good batch I really liked that one.

Crystal (10€/g) - It looked even better :D but in terms of taste and effect the Royal was still better for sure. The smell of both hashes were a little bit similar but the Royal smelt stronger... the same with the effect. For 10€/g it is still a nice good tasting strong enough blonde hash :D Maybe both hashes was made with the same genetics but different qualitys I liked that one, too :D

Meetpoint

Like I said in the past still a nice place to smoke a joint. Nice comfy seats and not so crowded as many shops in the centrum. A real local shop everybody knows everybody :D but still friendly to "tourists". Like many local shops the menu wasn´t that special. The usual strains like Amnesia, WW and so on. I went for the Amnesia.

Amnesia (?€/g) - They sell prepacked weed here. I forgot the prices so it seems it was pretty good Amnesia :D but in my opinion it wasn´t Amnesia but still a nice haze strain. Smoked good... pretty white ash :D Didn´t get much because we only wanted to relax from the journay and smoke one or two joints :D and yeah it did the trick and gave me a nice happy high.

Pink

No block hashes on the menu anymore :? the usual hash menu with "Moroccan Bad Boy Hash" on top wich looked good but not so Special. So I looked again for a weed to smoke. The Weed menu was also not so outstanding... I tried their "NY Cheese" (15€/?1,3g?) and it was not bad. Smooth relaxed stoned feeling... taste was also ok but I have expected more from that name :?
The shop was packed... not really easy to get a seat but in the end we smoked a joint and went to Coffeeshop Casablanca wich is not far from there.

Casablanca

I never been here before... it is small shop right next to the football stadium. The friendly dealer offered me a "Bollen" with sugar wich was pretty lekker :D and a nice welcome gift.
I took a look on their "Rif Delight" (10€/g) Hash and liked what I saw. Darker and oilier than the other hashes I scored at coffeeshop the wall but not as good tasting... also probably made of foreign genetics bubbles strong when heating by flame... effect is strong enough so overall a good hash. Not the nicest coffeeshop but good enough to have a joint and their hash wasn´t bad.

Eurogarden

I never been to that shop before, too. We only made a buy and fly because the "smoking room" was packed... customers were a mix of locals and a few tourists. They also had the "Girls Scout Cookies Block" hash (15€/1,07g  ). Furthermore I noticed that they had "Candy Kush" and "Chocolope" (weed) on the menu but I only tried their GSC Hash.
A pretty soft blonde hash. Smell is interesting... I never smelt hash like that before... the taste is also pretty like the smell. I only smoked the GSC strain one time in the past from Coffeeshop Funkey Monkey and wasn´t impressed by the taste... to be honest I am not sure if it really was GSC or they only named it like that  that hash from Eurogarden tastes and smelt def. different. The hash bubbles only a little when heating by flame and it´s also seems to be not so oily... but it´s pretty strong and gaves me a nice high. Compared to the other hashes I got this one made me more high and because of that I try to smoke that before the other "moroccans" wich are much more stony to me.

Wee didn´t made it to "New Wave" because the time run away :? next time for sure
