Thank you for that ES, very kind of you.EasilySuede wrote: ↑Mon 22nd May 2017 10:23 pm great report, Ed. i dig your style.
boom chicago can be hit or miss... i've been there when a dutch audience
member stood up, mid-performance, and complained about the quality of the humor.
that was funny... price-of-admission funny. a biertje on a sunny day
at their outdoor seating on the leidseplein is very nice. and that's where we used
to meet for the work boat tour... http://www.amsterdamboatclub.com
legal rec weed here in portland, oregon has diluted my urgency to canna-tour,
but yours, along with these other recents, have reminded me that amsterdam
itself is something to savor in its own right. while being high as a kite, of course.

Thanks for indulging me in my storytelling.
I realize many come here 'just for the facts'. That was me for a long time too
SO
My review of the 'best' strains encountered during my journey.
I found no 'bad' cannabis AGAIN! What I like is bouncing between a variety of Sativa's and Indica.
Most memorable had to be DLN first dab hit at Sound Garden. Near immediate and intense visual sensory enhancement.
Best body high, again DLN, now at Batavia, mostly syrup this time with a dab chaser, oh boy
Best Hash - Pineapple Express Hash from Eerstehulp - delicious and effective
Best value Hash & easiest to work with - DLN trifecta here, whatever that soft dark hash was called
Best Sativa value - not hard to find consistently good Lemon Haze, AK47 or Super Silver Haze almost everywhere, almost always at the bottom of the price selection, typically with nice large buds and excellent aroma
Best Satvia - tie between Eerste Hulp Blueberry Haze and Siberie Lavender Haze
Best Indica - Fromage Bleu from Voyagers
Best Indica value - Cheese from Siberie
Good luck for me at all these shops during my visit, yes even the Bulldog with a nice SSH.

Forgot to mention, me too. That was a great boat tour, I think it is now defunct? Met so many interesting people on the few I managed to take. That Chicago Boom location was so ingrained in my head as a result, I missed last years performance because they moved to the Rosengracht and I didn't carefully read the ticket! Typical stoner move.EasilySuede wrote: ↑Mon 22nd May 2017 10:23 pm great report, Ed. i dig your style.

Yes (it squeezed into some unique places the big boats can't), Yes (according to the link), and Yes indeed (often continuing the party after the boat tour was over).ed the head wrote: ↑Tue 23rd May 2017 02:11 pmForgot to mention, me too. Thanks Ed, that was a really good one, always enjoy reading about your Hadj and your great pictures are a nice addition to your reports.
Speaking of boats, we went on a solo trip last summer, renting one of those electric ones you capt’n yourself, highly recommended! We rented from boaty.nl, which is right by the Okura Hotel for a very reasonable price (think it was 90 € for three hours and the boat will comfortably carry five or even six people, we only went the two of us). To be fair the instruction page that came with the boat said no drugs or alcohol for the captain, but we made no attempts to hide the fact that we were gonna smoke (and were pretty crispy before getting on the boat, which must have shown), which provoked absolutely no response from the very nice younger fella renting out the things. The location makes it very convenient to swing by the AC market and some of the awesome shops in the Pijp en route and stock up for a floating picnic on the canals.
We highly recommend this approach, if you are more than three people it would probably also be the cheapest way to go and seeing that you get three hours where you are almost free to go anywhere you like (though not the Ij, a very few closed up canals and such places), can smoke and drink and have it to yourself it is a no-brainer compared to those plastic covered and stinky tourist traps they call tour boats.

ETA: Thnx NSFE, obviously it was the Okura Hotel
