Post by andyc »

I don't have anything booked yet, but will defo be heading over within the next month for around a week.
Been to Amsterdam a few times now and this trip i plan to split my visit with a few nights staying in Haarlem also.

does anyone have any tips for Haarlem?
I seem to remember there was a coffeeshop map on here somewhere, but i'm struggling to find it and also menus for them.
probably right under my nose :P

cheers

We've stayed at the Carillon a few times over the years , been a while though. If you're there in June during an Oranje World Cup game ,even better ( I remember NL 1 - Argentina 1) ... At that time we were smoking whatever we wanted in the rooms . If you're a museum person . They're all closed on Mondays ... Beautiful centrum to explore , get lost in .Go for it .

edit - I spent so long looking at Haarlem pix , and links , I see you pulled the trigger Andy . Enjoy . Did you book the Carrilon ?

Haarlem coffeeshop maps.

The second is a 10 meg scan of the Canalympics map, scale to fit.

Right near Birdy ( My fav Haarlem shop ) is this place.

Teylers Museum is the Netherlands' first and oldest museum, open to the public since 1784.

With a little research, there are plenty of things to do in Haarlem.

Take it out of town, rent a bike and ride through the dunes to Zandvoort and the beach.

Enjoy

You have been posted on the June Whos In Town page.

You can see who else may be in town during your stay.

If you don't see yourself, click your refresh or reload button
Your browser sometimes loads pages from your local cache and
you don't get the latest update.

Watch for Toke & Talks, I post them up to the last minute.

Set yourself up with your own T&T or Toke and Talk, where you pick the coffeeshop
(your favorite) and the date and time, I will post it and you wait for folks to
show up, if they do you'll have a T&T. If they don't you still get to enjoy your
favorite coffeeshop!

By default I link your posting to your profile page here on ACD.

I can change it to a web link ( myspace, facebook, personal page )
or an email address if you want.

You can do a little practice shopping on the Coffeeshop Menus page.
Any with arrows are less than six months old.

Any nice new menu pictures you can get will be much appreciated.
Always ask first, better told no than thrown out.

Enjoy

cheers for the info FBN.
decided not to stay overnight, but will defo make a point of a day trip through.

i noticed on the who's in town page there is a cannabis festival on sun 15th at flevopark. i'm staying not far from there so will be going along if you want to set up a T and T. I should be there from around 3. (looking for a decent coffeeshop suggestion within walking distance of flevopark if possible)

Also looking for a place in the Dam to watch the spain v holland game on the 13th that lets you smoke and drink alcohol if anyone can suggest. i would probably set up a T and T for that too.....

I'm always tipping it on here, try the traditional Dutch beer at the Jopen Kerk one of the best bars in the Netherlands,
I like bananas, monkey nuts and grapes. That's why they call me Sam of the apes

I am planning a short trip to Haarlem next week. The last time I was there was years ago... so I am not really up to date. I saw already on the social media that many places are refurbished... I travel with a mate and he is always looking for some "high grade" kushes :D
like the top kushes from Voyagers and Greenplace.
Where can I find these "high quality" kushes in Haarlem? I saw that the Willi Wortel Shops now have some interesting strains, too like Headband OG, Holy Grail... the menu looks much bigger than on my last visit. Anybody tried their wares in the last time? How was the quality? :D

Personally I am looking for some nice imported hash :D any advices? :D also the Jelly hash from Birdys or Willi Wortel is on my list 8)

Usually we wanted to visit the Willi Wortel shops, Birdys and Regine... if someone has other recommendations please let me know :D

From this place it's pretty easy to hitchhike, if you want to save some money :) I did that and it took me and my friend not more than 25 minutes to get a car :D

Lemming's Haarlem Coffeeshop Map

A trip to the beach at Zandvoort is always more than worth it!
