The Annual Four-Twenty Gathering - 20th April 2018

Agreed to both suggestions Lemming, we are in for a trip out west early in the week, did a scouting mission with the Fiets crew in August and noted a few places we should stay away from and a few that would be interesting for a revisit. Maybe we could set off up north (some shop in the Haarlemmerstraat area), swing by Baba and then head south / west. Also the area further "south-west" / the baarsjes area has some nice shops, Massawa being our favorite in that part of Mokum, so ending up here would not be so bad...

Something special for Saturday is a very good idea, the question is what?

Oh, and sign us up for the early s party, the birthday bash (if anyone was in doubt), the boat (already signed up, but doesn't hurt to do it again), and everything else on the list of events so far, we'll be there!

It was really the Baarsjes area that I particularly had in mind, although I'm up for a separate mission to the north. Maybe starting from somewhere around 1e Hulp/Sound Garden/Funkey Munkey area.

Regarding Baba, I see there's a ferry from near there to near Funny People 2. That might make an interesting tour.

Sweeet - how about Saturday the 21st at Batavia? Game starts 7pm sharp to make sure we're finished before closing.
There's a chance we may be able to hook a spot at the Bulldog lounge for this game which would give us more scope for late night antics and afford us a later start time. we can chat more once on the ground.

Also, in case any of you fancy upping the stakes a bit, WPT (that’s World Poker Tour) is taking place in Amsterdam that week. The main event is pricey at €3,300 entry, but there are some cheaper competitions on the schedule as well.

actually re Baarsjes crawl, my targets may not be of interest to most. What I'm really after is photographing all of those I haven't got yet. (Terminator, The Dream, Ruthless, Nieuw Amsterdam, FlashBack, Coffeeshop 156, Bommel)

I gather many of these are buy and fly and specialise in hash so most may not want to visit all of them.

On the other hand, if we did a meet in one Baarsjes shop for a while, I could do a quick excursion from there with the camera.
