Travel Hotel

Anyone stayed in the travel hotel on Beer Street before.
Booked in there for our trip in April.

Gets mixed reviews from what I see.
Will bring ear plugs due to the church bells.

I used to stay there quite often.

Until I had my passport and over 1000 euro stolen from my room.

Person on reception claimed they'd given the key to someone else by mistake and the manager wanted to break the lock on the door to make it look like a break in before I reported the theft to the police.

Best avoided in my opinion.

Were you sharing a room, or was it a room you had to yourself (yourselves)?

I was sharing a room with two others on that occasion.

I have stayed there by myself though.

Decent hotel apart from that incident.

Just don't leave any valuables in the room.

Edit - just to say the people I was sharing with were my mates and not random travellers.

We have a room booked for 4 of us.
Do they have any safe facilities?

I don't expect them to as its more of a hostel than a hotel.

They didn't when I stayed there but that was probably 8-9 years ago. So maybe they do now.

Also it wasn't a hostel back then. Unless I was too stoned to realise
