However, I have to keep changing the setting everytime I view a long thread. so...
Maybe force the board to show newest posts at the top. :D

I'vee been lurking through the members lists and I noticed that most of the signups that show a website link in their profile have either zero or very few posts.

Could you remove this option from the members list as these links are either dead or go to dodgy pages/sites.

Any thoughts?

The older posts in the Medical Marijuana thread look like they should in the Test Forum!

@Hulldj:

Broken links - I can probably fix these with a SQL query at some point. I think I did that before after a previous move. I'll wait until everything has settled down first though.

Newest posts first - isn't that the default? Maybe I'm missing the point that you're getting at.

Spam - it's an ongoing job getting rid of this.

@Pengaldinho, @Notsofasteddie and @OneHighMofo:

Great news that you haven't found anything missing. Looking promising.

See also here: coffeeshopdirect.com/forum and click on the logo.

Again, don't bother posting - posts will be lost. You can log in and see chat working though if you want.

OK, the test site is now live. In fact you're reading it. You can post now too.

Hopefully all of the missing archive is now back where it belongs.

Thank you so much again for your dedication, Lemming :D !

During this week I checked every section randomly, inbetween you already restarted the forum. From my point of view problem with those incomplete posts is solved. Hope I didn't overlook anything too much :lol: .

Only thing I noticed yet conversion of e.g. '€' and others went kind of wrong, see here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=31514&p=389176#p389176 ( '€/g' )
Shouldn't be a major problem though I assume as innocent as I am.

Only thing pisses me off a bit is there are so many people enjoying a trip report but not many seem to care about this thing here. Just look at this thread(feedback! I'm talking about those not involved in this thread). Did they even notice? Well, fuck it, it's all good now :twisted: :lol: !

Keep up the good work!

Hmm, that's a bit worrying. It was exactly encoding issues like that that caused the missing stuff in the first place. That suggests that I still didn't get it quite right. :( If I can fix it without too much risk I might give it a go. Thanks for letting me know.

I've fixed a few specific characters in situ with SQL. I haven't noticed anything truncated yet so, hopefully, not too bad.

There are still some threads were posters avatars don't show. One example in International is the More Countries thread. You can see my avatar in the other four threads, but not in More Countries.
