Welsh Assembly Members -Medicinal Cannabis Discussion

Post by Kenshiro »

Interesting and encouraging to see this happening on home soil!

It probably wont gather much steam.....but basically some of them have come forward and they want the Welsh Government to recognise it's medicinal uses and ask the UK Government to reclassify for medicinal use (yeah as if they're going to do that!)...they point to other countries that have regulated medical systems in place that prevent patients breaking the law for medicine etc.

Wales is the only place in the UK you can get the "Sativex" drug and then only a small group qualify for it.

Will keep watching this...even if nothing comes of it the fact that people in positions in government albeit a tiny limited powers one..will speak up and approach the subject is refreshing.

Oh well! They tried!....

The part about "Sativex" going through rigorous testing is hilarious- They wasted tax payers money trying to prove and use a synthetic form of cannabinoids that didn't work and in the end had to go back and use real organic material!

Even worse that UK government still stands by the "Cannabis is still a harmful drug" line.
Absolute tossers!

Only had a few days :) but we did see Tintern Abbey, Ragland Castle, Caerphilly Castle, Castle Coch, Churches, and the country side. Rented a car and took some "scenic" ways to some of the destinations.

One of the high points was when we went to the hometown of Robyn's 3rd Great Grand parents before they emigrated to the USA, Brynmawr. Found a parking spot on Glamorgan Street, turned out it was right at the house they lived in #11, walked down the street to the Pub talked with the owner, he showed us photos that were taken back at the same time. Then we watched some youths doing wheelies on there bikes. Not your typical tourist thing but it's a memory

sorry the medical Cannabis discussion didn't work out :(
