Going to Destination Blues Festival this Saturday, going to see
3rd Street Blues Band
Dustin Douglas & the Electric Gentlemen
Bobby Kyle & the Administers
Ursula Ricks
Mississippi Heat
Vanessa Collier
Victor Wainwright & the Train

one of the bands had this in there rider, I'm a stage manager,

If you would like to help ensure the band be the happiest and most enthusiastic band you've ever worked with, please provide the
band with a generous supply of your town's finest Willie Nelson's Vitamin M upon arrival. This band partakes, and likes to have a
great time. Your generosity will go a long ways! If you are not within the US, this is especially important.

it's going to be a fun time

"Bob Dylan" Updates "The Times They Are A-Changin'" for 2018

Lyrics:

Come gather round people wherever you roam
And admit that our country don't feel like our home
And that silence speaks louder than those who condone
If a tweet to you is worth favin'
Then lift up your voices and put down your phones
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come women and men who hashtag #MeToo
And believe me when I say that we believe you
For weak is the man who calls truth "fake news"
Time’s up, our silence we’re breaking
And even though Mel Gibson was in Daddy's Home 2
Well the times they are a-changin'.

Come athletes with platforms throughout the land
Who by taking a knee are taking a stand
And before you shout out that they should be banned
Listen to what they are saying
Perhaps they'd stand up if you reached out your hand
Well the times they are a-changin'.

Come journalists, writers who report the facts
And brandish your pen to fend off his attacks
Look past what he says and look at how he acts
The "fire and fury" is raging
For his words can hurt, but your words can fight back
The New York Times, they aren't a-failin'.

Come leaders who bully like internet trolls
We'll curse you with four-letter words "love" and "hope"
For we will go high even when you go low
The order is rearranging
For you have the power, but we have the vote
The times they are a-changin'
.

That's pretty cool, but why is it pretty much always "Sandman" when someone covers Metallica?

...Anyway, here's some real bluegrass!

"Hey Joe" from Joe Buchanan's 'Live From Austin TX' performance.

One of the pioneers of the telecaster sound, he was noted for his use of note bending, volume swells, staccato runs and "pinch" harmonics. He is considered by many to be one of America's most soulful guitar masters, and even 20 years after his death, he maintains an army of devoted fans, including some of rock guitar's greatest (just ask Jeff Beck, Robbie Robertson or Billy Gibbons). This performance, captured on the ACL stage on November 15, 1976, shows Roy Buchanan in his prime at the age of 37. Indeed, it may well be the best high-quality audio/video recording of his complete performance known to exist.

@ KeyMonCha. I'm really sad I cant manage to work the festivals anymore, WOMAD was my favourite. I love it for bands like Dubioza Kolektiv.

Too true mate... You'll never find a more eclectic mix of musical styles that you will at WOMAD....

...You know, you can always buy a ticket!

...Me and my dad will definitely be there in 2017!!!

...We can pick you up on the way! 8)
Thats a fine offer KMC maybe I'll give a shout next year. I'd have to get someone to bring me campervan down for accommodation. :D
Such a shame we never managed a WOMAD meet-up... Just booked for 2018 and i'm going to smoke a few for Spider!

...So strange what pops into your mind unintentionally... Spider pops up now when i think of WOMAD...

...Makes me feel sad and happy simultaneously!

...Anyway, going to enjoy myself in his honour!

Have fun up there, mate!
