What do you collect?

Post by Nimrod »

Just about everyone collects things. What collections do you have?

Anything specific to Amsterdam or the NL?

In Amsterdam, I collect Albert Heijn bonus cards. They are free and they are all individually numbered. Can't pass an AH without stopping in and trying for one. Perhaps I'm mad, but I'LL be the one with an AH bonus card number ending in *420 during 4-20. Bwahaha. Last eight day visit totaled 43 cards for a 5.375 daily average.

I collect copies of my Amsterdam apartment keys on appropriately-numbered-to-my-trip mini billiard ball keychains.

Also collect bandannas and Dutch zakdoeken.

Also collect epiphytic plants like staghorn ferns, x-mas cacti, and a few other types. Small succulent plants like aloes, gasterias, cacti, etc.

I used to collect Grateful Dead beanie bears, but that got out of hand.

Many other modest collections of all sorts of things I do not need, like my cats' fallen whiskers.

I won't even mention my modest collection of fine German handheld machinery.

Google imaged the musicman, nice, looks like it screams.

I have a Fender Squire Strat and Precision. I have since strung the FSS in open G ala Keith Richards and obtained an Ibanez ESS bass which is much nicer than the FS Precision. I wanted a double humbucker so I also have an Epiphone Les Paul, and a Fender Tele with a center strat pickup.

Acoustic wise, I have a Celebrity Ovation, and a suprisingly nice Rogue Dreadnought (considering it was only $100 AND it came with a mandolin).

Casualties from last years yard sale: above mentioned Mandolin, a Rogue Mexican flag guitar, and a Fender acoustic.

I have been collecting lighters from cofeeshops in AMS since 2000. I have right around 80. Much cheaper than t-shirts.
