Heading over from 22nd to 28th this year. Anyone any experience of A'dam at Xmas? Whats the city like in general that time of year?

I just got back from a long weekend in Amsterdam. I actually enjoy it more at this time of year. All the main streets are lit up with xmas lights. I'm also into a bit of photography and at this time of year you get a nice fog which hangs around till early afternoon.
