Looks boring to me, but then I think all computer games are. Of course I spend my time on Faceplant...

Dayz For a 'mindless FPS', it's pretty good...though in the same breath, for the bug and glitch fest that it also is, it's pretty bad. Hopefully the stand alone will sort all the testing issues out. Mind you, should a Zombie/Infected apocalypse actually happen, shoot first ask questions later seems to be the rule of thumb.

TheFPS aspect of it won't come in as much once the hacking problems have been resolved. So really it is anything BUT a mindless FPS. It is more of a zombie appoclypse survival simulator. Which I guess makes it somewhat on topic in this thread and not the thread I created for dayz.

Out of curiosity, are there posts where you contribute or are you only capable of analytical responses?

Actually, yes there are some, this site didn't just start when you came along. Though it's having to wade through the paranoid crap the likes of yerself comes off with, that has seen those types of replies diminish over the years. I put the Dayz reply in this topic just to highlight yer hypocrisy because as we both know, Arma is a war simulator with Dayz being an 'Infected' apocalypse survival mod. Both primarily designed to be played in "First Person' for a truly immersive effect, the player runs around alone or in a group gathering 'stuff' and shooting 'enemies'. The simulation side of things come from Arma and its game engine, not the style of play in Dayz, In the real world when you get shot in the face for your tin of baked beans, you're really 'perma dead' and thus, can't return with a change of attitude from once friendly to now bandit. It's this point that has the vast majority of 1 million Dayz players shooting each other on sight, much like a mindless FPS. Use the Battle eye client and hackers have very little effect on any aspect of the game making your last reply mute. Which brings us to the core issue, you're playing the man, not the ball and this stems back further than just this thread. The NYNY remark you made at the beginning shows you were already having a 'dig' elsewhere before I said the sim game looked boring. However, the paranoia kicked in and being so wrapped up in your own sense of self importance sent you off on one because everything must be about you, right?. Couldn't possibly be a simple comment about a game that clearly looks boring......that you hadn't even acquired yet!!. So let me get this straight, putting a link to a game you haven't got and saying it 'looks' good or 'fun so far' about a game you have makes it a contribution, or a somewhat weak analytical post. Surely the main idea is to get analytical responses about the game so a discussion is created, which imo seems to be the whole point of a discussion board. Or would you prefer 'Yeah thanks for the link it's awesome, you rock'. Perhaps you'd be a lot happier if you just made statements and everybody else agreed, sorry to burst your bubble pal, but that just aint the way the world works. Maybe if you dragged yer head out of yer arse and yer mind out of the world's conspiracy theory play book, you'd have a much easier time dealing with it. lol I bet this unimportant crap ate away at you all friggin night. You must be related to SD.

Nope not a bit, nice attempt at projecting what you want to happen VS. what is really happening.
I suppose some mindless FPS is your idea of a great game.
Mindless FPS have their time, and place. I never said I don't play them. I have in the past, and I'm not to good at them, thus my bias to them. I played Counter Strike very often, and have even posted on it here prior to Dayz.....awww you missed a chance to troll!!

I never heard of Arma 2 before dayz, and I never play "military skinned games" since I stopped playing CS on a regular basis 5 years ago.....

I really don't have much time for video games, and the fact of the matter is I never even played or tried the Amsterdam sim game I posted here, so its quite comical the point this thread had reached. Not to mention you obviously beating your head over the keyboard with a 2 paragraph defensive response.
Though it's having to wade through the paranoid crap the likes of yerself comes off with, that has seen those types of replies diminish over the years.
Awww...Are you old school ACD? Do all these new people ruin it for you? To many tourists? To many shitty responces? Guess you will have your wish, as all Amsterdam will be shutdown soon so we won't be posting here anymore. You win! Congrats!

How FUCKING dare I resent the European central bankers? LOL....Yup please dismiss me as conspiracy theorist....i have already dismissed you..........Welp, the best and brightest are already here with me.... I'm wasting my breath...

Just saying, seeing how just after I made the post and logged off yesterday you read it and waited a day to reply, maybe it just took ya that long to work out the bullshit ya eventually came off with.....cue backtracking...

Contrary to what you may believe I don't read everything you post on here, again...it aint all about you.

So it's better to reply with a crock instead of just ignoring it....good work there spud, yer doin a great job.

Maybe 2 paragraphs of words is hard work for you, for others though it comes a tad easier, especially when the op talks bollox, but hey, thanks for confirming the facts and originally making such a great 'contribution'. It's quite comical you've got so bent out of shape over a remark about a game you haven't even played. It's a good thing the thread did take a different turn as you'd obviously have fuk all to contribute towards the subject matter anyway.

Not at all it means I have had to spend more time answering morons, a la case at hand. Tourists are fine, so even are shitty responses, but fucked up paranoid schizophrenia from muppets gets a tad boring after awhile. As for ALL Amsterdam getting shutdown, wtf are you on, is it on prescription?.

My advice is ya go back to yer GP and slap him across the face with a big wet fish, cos you pal are clearly bonkers!. Who fookin mentioned the banks, see there's the problem....the best and the brightest are indeed there with you...but they're all fighting over the same space....your dilusional mind!.
It's all falling into place now, is this you playing CS.....

Time for a song...

Dismiss away, though 'resistance is futile'.

Any luck Balou? I downloaded on Steam but found it a bit of a task to operate and difficult. Surely if I spent some more time with it I feel it would be better. With Simcity out can't really see going back to it anytime soon though.

My feelings about "sim games" have since changed since this posting. Like so many others i grew up with these type of games, and I think they subtly help us accept central planning. Chalking up the entire genre as a tool for socialists, propagating such ideals via the state run schools.

If what we see & hear on the TV doesn't effect us, why are Super Bowl commercials 3.5 million dollars for 30 seconds?
