"Freedom of speech etc etc, then STFU nice one mate, I'm with you on the Arabs sorting their own stuff out, religious hypocrisy, and human bombs.
And I understand where Rons coming from and I can sense his revulsion of war mongers, born no doubt of his up close up and personal experiences.

But we should discuss these things.
What a long strange trip it is.

+1

this story from a website that discusses precious metal futures.....

It adds an interesting and hitherto ignored economic twist to the discussion.....

Uncle Ron wrote:All in favor of war, either join up and go kill people (men, women, AND children, war does not discriminate), or shut the fuck up... preferably the latter.
Any questions about war, come talk to me, I'll share soul destroying stories (fact, not fiction) of sights, sounds, smells, and tastes.
Want to know the smell/taste of rotting flesh of women and children, and the story of how they came to be this way?
What of the sobs from teenage girls who were raped, mutilated, and left for dead?
Maybe if you're real lucky, just maybe you'll get to observe a Combat Vet break down...
As I said, either join and kill, or shut the fuck up...
...
I hear what you,re saying bro and will happily agree with what you said about the sights, sounds and taste of war, its not something everyone could handle, and ive got m8s that I served with that have had years of counselling to deal with their problems. But never feel guilty about serving your country, I don't.

You're telling someone to STFU because freedom of speech is an inalienable right?

Yes & No. My logic was UR did a preemptive strike:
Uncle Ron wrote:...and before any constitution waving american claims freedom of speech - you are welcome by the way, now shut the fuck up!!!!
So being I had a difference of opinion i too offer the same suggestion. Is mine somehow more offensive because it was specific? Did a "draw a red line?" LOL  I don't think so.
See I don't think military tradition alone is what preserves freedom of speech. That's all.
Stoner banter...nothing more...

bottom line folks is this.

what our governments do and what we want them to do are TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS.

they act for themselves

not necessarily for us.

time to toke :-)
