I found this coffeeshop out today after Stenman's post about the White Cheese. I got there and as I walked in, the dealer, a very friendly Lebonese (sic) guy, Marco pulled out the menu. I explained I wanted the White Cheese which I had read on the forum wasn't on the menu. He smiled and pulled out the White Cheese. He said this is all he smokes. If he doesn't have this, he is very sad when he has to smoke another.

It is €12g or €25 fir 2.2g I went for the 2.2g option :) I went and sat down with Ray and a chocomel each. I rolled a White Cheese spliff. Ray's words summed it up nicely "WoW that hit me lilke a train" It was intense and fantastic, this was really good weed. I got Ray to roll another one while I got talking to Marco. He showed me through all the weeds he had that were "off menu". Blue Cheese - Fantastic Buds, Lovely smell and crystals. Every bud of every weed he showed me was covered in lovely crystals. He broke each weed open and placed it in my hand to investigate and smell. He showed me Cheese which is on the menu, and Dominator or dynamite or something, which he says he smokes instead of White Cheese when it's out.

He was also talking about another new weed called Sunrise Haze I went back down and smoked the other White Cheese spliff with Ray and then started to roll a third. Marco came over with a joints worth of Sunrise Haze and said "Smoke that. It's not as strong as the White Cheese, but it is very nice.

Nice is the right word, as I finished rolling the 3rd White Cheese, and put it to one side to build and smoke the Sunrise Haze. It certainly wasn't as strong as the White Cheese, but it was lovely and clear with a soft citrus taste. Very nice we both thought. We skipped out, after a free chocomel, and began the walk back. About halway I sparked up the White Cheese spliff. That was a mistake if ever there was one. We were utterly bolloxed, we couldn't walk in straight lines, we could barely walk!! I thought back to what Marco had said "I like it because it gets you stoned and you feel it from head to toe". Well we could certainly feel it in our heads and our toes!!

Ray commented it was like he was wearing concrete boots, but agreed I was closer to my remark "It's like walking in moon boots. Their not really heavy, but awkward and bouncy. We eventually staggerred back to my room and I am sitting here typing this while Ray recovers on the bed. This is the best weed in the world (in my opinion :) ) This is my new favorite coffeeshop.

I have said I will also organise another Meet and Greet around 420 in this wonderful coffeeshop. Drinks are a touch pricey at €2.50, but premuim weed is €12g. Cold drinks only. Vending machine but also drinks at bud counter.

Will create a seperate topic for the M&G.
Firstly Kudos for starting this!

Secondly Our Summary:

The very first coffeshop we sat in before the ratings were discussed, this was definitely a shop for comfort. The first thing you see when entering this venue are the several chaise lounges by the window area. As we walked to the very small bar/counter the man asked us if we would like anything to drink. We view the vast selection of drugs they had to offer, the man went on to explain what each one was and the different effect they had, going into detail about the highs and lows. As we walked away enlighten from the new information we had received we went to the area of comfort. We each selected a chaise lounge to sit on and discussed how friendly the man was. Looking around on the walls there were various drug memorabilia such as flags of Bob Marley!! Pictures of spliff's and Jamaican flags everywhere. In fact on the entrance was a large bob Marley and a Jamaican flag hanging down, which is why we nicknamed the place as this. * The coffeeshop adopts the same method as others by having a large mirror on the wall. Other features that made the shop interesting were a giant red buddah head, a big pink panther near the bar and a vending machine with snacks in it. This was the only form of food in this shop so it scored moderately low on this section. Music consisted from old school Beatles tracks from the 70’s era when it was really trippy. There was also around 30 posters spread on the ceiling of various movies and bands, keeping you entertained for a while.
Downsides are a lack of drink variety, entertainment and food availability, but overall a nice cosy little place with excellent service.

OK, this is now officially my favoritist coffeeshop in the world. ;)

Not only do they have a great selection of weeds to choose from, all good quality gear, and Marco is a very good and friendly budtender, but they have gone and topped it off by getting a Massage chair in!!!

I had the very lucky opportunity of being the first person to use the chair. It's €2 for 5mins, but it is an amazing massage. Get very stoned before you get in the chair, and come out needing to roll another one because your high has dissapperaed, but you are so realaxed it's unbelievable.

There is Wifi available from Heineken next door, all in all my favorite coffeeshop. And that's without mentioning the loungers at the front which I always sit in if available. Mines the red one if there is ever a meet and greet in there ;)

This is where I spend a lot of the time when going with people to chill out. Going out to socialise is normally 420 or Katsu, long live Old Amsterdam :)

Had a great time in this shop and now i know you can pick internet up in there it has got even better. Will deffo be visiting this shop more often during future visits.
A couple of down points are the opening times and the crappy toilets.
Good shop and well worth a visit.

Does it look like one of these?

Because that looks like the Captain Kirk of massage chairs and I might have to retire in it.

Have been there on my recent trip. Budtender was decent and handed me a bag of White Cheese for 12€(1 gram).

Nice indica but I expected more. In my opinion not worth the money.

Definatley an amazing coffeeshop.

The budtender is very friendly, had a nice chat with him and he let me look at some suspect weed (purchased elsewhere) under his microscope.

The White Cheese has run out, think he said it will be 6 weeks till its around next.

The house hash, Old Amsterdam (smoking now :D), is very nice.Shame I only got the one.

Check this coffeeshop out! Its a must!

Enjoyed smoking Buddhas Sister here last night, for 12/g.
Definitely a powerful smoke, i`d been smoking charas all afternoon in Picasso - this seemed to complement it well.

i`d just walked over from Westerpark, so wanted to sit down for a minute before deciding what/if to buy anything. The owner said i had to buy to stay which was a bit irritating, but apart from that it`s a nice place to buy and chill, with good herb, and the guy was cool too.
Bob Marley was my signal to leave (love him, but not the same hits again) - but glad i made the trip to Old Amsterdam.

(BTW It`s pissing down in Amsterdam at the moment! I`ll carry on munching in La Place.)

Old Amsterdam is officially on our list for April 2010.

I really can't believe we missed this shop, but it seems to me we walked past it at least twice without notice.

Once on our way to Rembrandtplein, and stopping at Stix. Shame.
