Thousands of sadhus have had a ban placed on them, preventing them from selling cannabis to those attending a festival at an ancient Nepalese temple.

What's your problem? What does this have to do with America? Nothing in that article says anything about the USA.doobydave wrote:F**K OFF America!

Don't pay that any attention, it's a default response from a xenophobic who most likely has been dealt the ace of spades....

I'm no xenophobe. By the way, if there is a different word for hating foreigners that swan around the globe 'persuading' small governments to adopt their ideals, well, I'm one of those.
If this policy has nothing to do with pressure from your beloved country I shall (after the purchase of one), eat my hat.
Edit - I know it's not a newspaper (but neither it the Torygraph..) but you might want to take a look at this thread

That article states that smuggling into the usa was a problem, and THAT is why the USA got involved. If they kept it within their pwn country where it is legal it wouldn't have been a problem.
Regardless, the USA is still the best place on the earth to live. I am so lucky to have the freedoms that I do - cannabis will be added to those freedoms eventually.

Nothing to see here - just a diplomatic envoy, spreading joy to less fortunate parts...
