Tram 1,2,5 leidsestraat

Post by matty223 »

Don't remember anyone posting this but the Leidsestraat is closed to trams until the 15th November. This means that trams 1, 2 & 5 are all running a diverted route.

1 & 2 turn right at the rear of the palace along the Raadhuisstraat/Rozengracht/Marnixstraat.

The 5 turns left past the palace and along the route of the 16 and 24 via Rokin until it gets to the Museumplein and does not go near the Leidseplein. Just be aware of this when you jump on the tram.

Tram 1 & 2 still stop at the Leideseplein they just don't go down the Leidsestraat.

I was wondering about this. Been watching the Koningsplein webcam past couple weeks and dont' see or hear any trams. Thanks, Matty for explaining the reason why.
