I have an 11 hour layover!
Hello! I am traveling to Amsterdam for the first time and I have an 11 hour layover. I want to know which coffeeshops have to easiest access from the airport and back again. I do want to use public transportation as well! Thanks for any advice!

If you want the best weed which is close to central station then it has to be Voyagers.

Rita, don't make the mistake I made with a layover. I checked my bags in a locker at arrival and had to make a mad dash across terminals to collect bags and catch flight, after returning from the Dam

If you are going by train, there are several Coffeeshops near Amsterdam Centraal. Voyagers, Utopia, Paradox, Dampkring,.. they are all around 20 minutes by foot

Thanks Willjay! Very good point! I hope my luggage goes ahead on to my destination! That is something I will certainly check out!

Depends on what time you get into town.. but Barney's and Centraal are open early.. otherwise.. look at the map.. pick a place or two (voyagers, utopia) .. and go get blazed! I had the pleasure of showing someone on a 4 hour layover around the city back in April 2013.. He got back on the train with red eyes and a grin!
