Spacecakes, Shakes & Smoker Friendly Bars

Post by SilentlyScreaming »

Once again, I'm hoping the thread title is a giveaway, as far as the main queries are here.
Please see master thread here for background info.

Basically want to sample either space cakes or hash brownies - I understand the need to not wolf down a bunch due to impatience, just wondered if the following were good places to chill out and try them in?

Greenhouse Effect
Hill Street Blues
Space cakes from Basjoe are nice and mild apparently - too mild?

Should I avoid the golden pound cake?

Special shakes - when I visited with my wife a few years back, (non-schmoker) she complained she felt no effect at all from hers. Unfortunately can't remember where we got it.
Is about 1/3 - 1/2g in one shake about right, and which CSs serve the best tasting/most effective ones?

Are the following still smoker friendly restaurants? Should I mark down any others as being known for accepting weed being rolled/smoked?

Nomads - after dinner service has finished?
Coco's Outback Steakhouse - Specific smoking section?
Barney's Brasserie on Haarlemmerstraat
Satellite Sports Cafe - Leidseplein - certain areas

Finally (if you think this thread is long, you should see the main one I wrote this evening!), of the following, should I avoid any, watch out for prices in any in particular, or add any to this list of smoker friendly bars. (my friend is a drinker more than a smoker, so I won't to make sure he spends some time with his beloved beer ;) )

Nes Café
Lost in Amsterdam
Rock Planet
Black Tiger
Stones Café
Smoking Bull
Wonder Bar
Waterhole
The Flying Dutchman
Winston bar
Coco's Outback
Susies Saloon
red light bar
smokeys bar
cafe de duivel
green house effect bar - free wifi?
ricks cafe

I don't know if Gollem is smoker friendly, but it looks like it's got a nice selection of beers. I think they have outdoor seating.

The cakes we purchased from Hill Street Blues (16th July, 2007) didn't have much of an effect.

i find the shakes and cakes suck all over amsterdam... i wish someone there would make a good one, with great products and different treats...

in california and even toronto and vancouver where im from we have delicious chocolate bars and muffins and candies and everything you can think of thats made with herb... and they are all good.. you catch a great buzz while eating them.

why doesnt anywhere in the dam sell proper shakes, treats or cakes???
i remember back in the day they used to have great ones... then all of sudden they became weaker and weaker... whats the deal??

i really reccomend nes for a smoker friendly bar. friendly staff, always seems to be a seat open near the window when i pop in. nothing like sitting down with a joint or blunt and washing it down with a cold beer. I will definetly be going here at night if im in Amsterdam in December.

side note, but anyone know the name of the argentinian steak house down the street from nes? its not on the same street as nes but the street after it as your comming toward nes's street on the right as if heading from the palace. it seemed to be an upper scale steak house. there was a less appealing steakhouse right across the street. reason i ask is because i went there with my dad and it was honestly one of the best steaks i have ever had in my life! melted in your mouth. perfectly seasoned too.
educating myself and waiting for the next trip.

Could it have been part of the "Rancho" group?

although i'll smoke a ton while i'm there...always love a bunch of cakes for the plane ride home (gotta eat 'em all before we land !!)...about 15 minutes into the flight i start munching away - a couple hours later, all is right in the world...pass out, wake up, i'm home..... :)
don't panic...smoke some organic....

when heading over look for accomadation with an oven, so you can make your own space edibles. The best part is that you and you alone regulate the potency of the edible. Like smokestax said you can eat them on the plane ride home and if you even time it right you can eat them and still be high when u land.

Had a space cake from Paradox CS over by the Anne Frank House last weekend. They claim to have 1.25 G of weed in each for 6E. It was a smalll slice of yellow cake. A little dry but they usually are. Eat it on the train back to Schiphol and it made the nine hour flight home niiiiiice. Still had a bit of a grin when I landed.
