This place is a complete mess!! Please do not visit La Canna ever! You enter this place saying "alright,this is a clean and bright place to chill" but this is only for the beginning. The ground floor may fascinate you but as you move forward to the main coffeshop on the first floor,you realize that there is no more brightness and instead,too much dirt and weird people. The weed-bar is too crowded by rude english people,the barman isnt so helpfull and the smoking catalogue can be seen only there and only by pressing a button continuously (what a system).There is a minimum fee at 20 euros!! Waitresses here are few (considering that the place is big and crowded) and really slow.. We could even see dogs (!) entering this place and sitting on the sofas right next to ours.By the way,the weed s###s.Really dirty,really crowded,really notorious,really dark,really expensive,a real tourist trap!!You must be really disparate to come to this place.Amsterdam has better coffeshops anyway

Yeah La Canna's probaly the worst coffeeshop I've been in, Dogs are really common in Amsterdam and in coffeeshops though.

La canna was the best, i went at the beginning of july and had a great time there.
me and my boyfreind ended up going there at least twice a day!!
The service was fantastic, the girls runing round after everyone where very nice and helpful. i thought the prices were resonable considering im from blackpool in england and everything is more expensive here specially the weed.
I hate reading that people didn't like the place because it made our trip, we could have food wen we wanted, smoke wen we wanted, drink if we felt like it and play pool etc.
whilst wer there we met some interesting ppl who joined us on our table who wer very nice. we wer from england, a lad called TJ from america, a french dude who spoke little english but was also very nice and a really cool guy from turkey called yazin who was a producer.
i hav really good memories from amsterdam and i respect their lifestyle beyond anything. but la canna was part of that and u shudn't say bad stuff about the place.

This place is open for the full 24/7, the music is good, you can pool here and you can sit on different floors. But the beer is expensive and the glasses aren't cleaned very good so the beer is dead in a short time It was a little bit messy in here because of the so many tourists and locals visiting this shop and the not so very much cleaning. The weed and hash is a little bit expensive and are just the commercial sorts.

just came back from this beautiful city----enjoyed an ok time at lacanna-mediocre weed---minimum order sucks----hot looking waitresses(slow)--used the mens room first night(hand written sign---50 cents)dropped 2 euro on plate(felt mellow)-----food was better than ok-not great--all in all spent approx 70 euro------came back next day with wife and her sister--had lunch(ok)--beer-and 20 euro minimum again------went upstairs to piss
and walked by the plate(no change in pocket) while taking a leak bartender slams door quite loudly----upon leaving mens room confronted by same bartender who demands 50 cents------explained i had no change on me but had contributed 2 euro last evening---rudely told me that was last night---todays another day--- total of approx 160euro in 2 days and treated poorly by that asshole-----fuck this place---too many better places with kind,friendly people-----advise everyone t o stay away---not worth it

Just reading this is enough to put me off, but why would you go back afterwards? I would have written the first night off as an experience and found places with better food, herb, service, and a free piss pot.

They do sell the worst smoke! Cheap Beer? I'd hardly call €6 for a pint of crap cheap, €4 for a Corona aint bad but not that great either. having said that i did spend about 4hrs here on sunday, made all our purchases at grey area and just sat downstairs drinkin and smokin. Never made it up stairs, legs were a bit too wobbly
