Agreed... I have used those 5 gram shake bags for cooking, but I wouldn't smoke it, too much leaf.

I have been thinking about buying one of those shake mags as a mixer with hash on my next visit to Adam
Do you guys think it's a bad idea?

Is the "shake" too harsh too smoke or is it that it just tastes like shit?
..or both?

I went ten times at Amsterdam and every time I discover a new trap for "canna tourists" !

I like this forum because you can get a lot of informations and tips, and most important you can share your own experience and inform others forumers.

I love anyday. The service is great, it's a lovely place to hang out and the product has never failed me. To call it a tourist trap is massively unfair. Yes, the prices are on the higher end but that's what you get for going to a shop that's round the corner from centraal. What are you expecting from a 5g bag of shake?? Shake!! What are you expecting from €3/g afghaan?? €3/g afghaan!!

If you want a decent smoke, pay decent money.

Bit of both... Mind you, if you're used to smoking average-quality outdoor weed, eg. thai, the shake might be palatable for some people.

Once or twice, ACD group tested a bowl of shake in the Verdampers upstairs. Everyone was surprised by how strong it was. The strength was actually comparable to all the other good stuff we vaped that night. But all agreed that the flavor of the shake was pretty bad, it tastes kind of dusty and bitter.

You get what you pay for, can't expect much for 13 euro/5 grams (is it still the same price?)

I agree that calling Anyday a tourist trap is a bit unjustified. You could say the exact same thing about any coffeeshop in Centrum. The Bulldog is what I consider a tourist trap. I actually find Anyday to be more of a locals place, there are more Dutch people than foreigners there at most times, especially downstairs.

Anyday is definitely not a tourist trap. They have decently priced hash and weed (try some of the cheaper classic strains here) and the Ice at 19 is great too. Some of their top priced stuff can be hit and miss sometimes, so just ask and look before you buy. Also a 15% discount on 5 gram purchases which you don't see in every coffeeshop. More friendly service in the daytime usually.

Anyday is anything but a tourist trap. I think they get the balance right there between being friendly/tolerant of tourists and locals. Downstairs has more of a locals feel to it IMHO with tourists usually preferring the relative comfort of the upstairs area in my experience.

Champagne Haze never failed me in Anyday, to call it a tourist trap... come on, let's be serious. Always stay downstairs in Anyday, that's where the good vibe comes from:)

True about downstairs but the only standing space left is always by the door and I don't wanna be an inconvenience

Plus everyone knows good vibes rise

We had never ventured into Anyday until our last trip, it was somehow one of those places we had rarely passed, and never felt the urge to make a special trip to it. This changed as it was just around the corner from our apartment, and it seemed a shame to miss it again.

Boy am I glad we did, got a gram of Kalashnikova which was ok but nothing special, but was here for the hash having heard good things about it. The really friendly bud tender spent a good while going through his recommendations from the menu, showing us each example and giving quite a detailed rundown of their tastes and effects. When nothing was really floating my boat and upon asking if they had anything really dark and spicy he produced another tub from beneath the counter. This he explained was not on the menu, wish I could remember the name, could be rotan or something like that? Anyway when he showed it to us there was no way we weren't taking some of that. Was pricey if I remember right (no guarantee of remembering my eon name right in the dam lol), but when we finally got round to smoking it later that night, it was well worth it IMO. Nicest hash we had ever smoked we both agreed.

Overall, friendly informative staff, and good to excellent product (based upon my small sampling), look forward to visiting again in a couple of months!

The Rohtang is indeed top notch when available and I'll echo those that say this is not a tourist trap. Given the location this place is ideal to hit up on your way to or back from venturing to somewhere further like Paradox.

Flying back to my home in the dam tomorrow - first stop...Anyday for some Roh Tang Pass!

The last time they had it was before summer and I they were out everytime I visited. If I remember correctly it's around 17EUR p/g. They replaced it with Malana Creme but they also never had a constant supply of that and just kept it on the menu (according to the BT) as people always came back for it.

Anyday is certainly not a tourist trap. It may be a little pricey but I think that's simply to encourage you to buy 5 grams to get the 15% discount. If you combine that discount with free filters, papers and a lighter it is actually a very good deal. Anytime I am there, it is always full of locals who hand around for hours and they are always speaking Dutch.

I've also been offered free chocolate and tea whilst hitting the vedamper, certainly not the traits of a tourist trap :P
