Re: Stupid Question
Hickeydemont , I think you are failing to recognize your moral obligation. rules are set for a reason. The Amsterdam Local Business Administration is not interested in the fact that it is "only a month away" until your brother turns 18. ( if it were your sister and she were about to get a good rogering from an old man and she was a month away from legal age you would view this differently) Well this law is the same way to us. What people here are trying to say is not to "rock the boat" as there are SO MANY different eyes looking an attempting to scrutinize the entire coffee shop idea. Yopu blatent disregard for common sense, never mind um.. THE LAW. Please use your head for something besides a hatrack. I am not necessarily here to judge, But it sounds like your brother has more influence on you than you think. Maybe be a real big brother and teach him that the rules are there for a reason.

Re: Stupid Question
i hear ya jimi i know the coffesshops are under scrutiny , but as i said its 3 weeks away im not canceling on him and losing money im just going to risk it if people think its stupid then fine who am i to argue glad to hear the opinion from an actual dutch poster i wish to state i do respect the dutch laws but the flight was booked before i did the research ( negligence on my part) i thought since it was 16 in bars it was 16 in the CS i'm confident we wont get asked for i.d and if we are buy and fly and move on to a bar right ?
thanks for the opinion sir nice to hear some level headed replies from cool posters and not those who go to amsterdam then smuggle drugs home and grow drugs at home illegally then bitch at me about morality and laws you know
besides i didnt even start the thread some other guy did , whos in the same boat as me i reckon i was only trying to ease his worries

Re: Stupid Question
To be fair those people are only putting themselves at risk, not someone elses livelihood.hickeydermot wrote:thanks for the opinion sir nice to hear some level headed replies from cool posters and not those who go to amsterdam then smuggle drugs home and grow drugs at home illegally then bitch at me about morality and laws you know

Re: Stupid Question
Even if he is not asked for ID there is still a possibility of a Police search. When I was in Katsu during the CC 2009 with Rasa they came in. They secured the building asked the younger looking customers for ID, including Rasa, and then had us to leave. Same thing happened in July 2010 when I was in Rusland. Luvtik wrote about a similar situation in during CC 2010 at Barney's Lounge. Point being you never know when they might come in. Maybe you should try and put yourself in the CS owners shoes, would you want someone underage to come and risk your business?hickeydermot wrote:also very true , but i realise things got out of hand here i got offended by some remarks as did others fact is if asked for id he wont have any so we will have to leave right? simple as so there wont be anyone at risk except our group because we mightnt get to enjoy some coffeesops

Re: Stupid Question
You might get away with it in a coffeeshop but I doubt it mate, I'm 30 and more often than not get asked for ID. Cafe Remember is a nice smoking bar, right in the red light district (2.50 for small beer if I remember correctly). I'ts right next door to tranny alley so get him blazed and then take him down there and freak him out - unless he's into that kinda thing

There are loads more bars where your bro can smoke with no problem, you can enjoy a spliff and a beer like in the olden days!
