CityMundo switcheroo

Post by RonZen »

Used CityMundo's website to book up for my next trip in September, found a very nice-looking flat in Lange Leidsedwarsstraat. They took 1/3 downpayment on my card. This was a week ago.

Got a call from them today, apologising that the flat is actually not available the dates I booked. I think this speaks perhaps to a certain lack of professionalism in maintaining the database, but then again things do happen beyond their control sometimes I suppose.

In any event, they very promptly emailed me a list of 4 actually-available accommodations (after confirming with me that, yes, 'smoking allowed' was important to me!) at the same price as my original booking. So I found another place I liked the look of, this time on Oudezijds Achterburgwal.

I'll update here after my trip how I rate the final CityMundo experience.

Thanks folks! I don't really doubt that all will go well.

Yup plantpot, that definitely looks like the same place I'm meant to be getting. I appreciate the pix!

They were good to their word and I would definitely use them again.

The apartment was fabulous. (plantpot, it wasn't the same as yours, but it's in the same building, with the same owner)
