Valo i support Man United and the only banter you will get from me is not to use Man U or Man Yoo. No Man United supporter i know uses these terms due to our lovely rivals and their sick Munich chants.

I am ashamed of the minority of football fans from all countries that resort to violence.

I am ashamed of the MAJORITY of british people abroad. I have experienced many cringe worthy times in many countries. English holiday makers seemed to be disliked all over the world. I am English but have a Scottish accent and have lost count the amount of times people have apologised to me abroad, "I'm sorry i thought you were English". Surely this would make most of the countries i have visited racist towards the English.

I think the reason for this is most countries don't like pissheads as visitors to their countries. Sure there are pissheads from all countries it's just that Britain has more pissheads per capita. Every smoker i have met abroad, British or otherwise seems more knowledgeable and respectful to their host country.

You sir are a rascist fucking idiot. that is my opinion and I am sticking to it.

I don't know what a "rascist" is though you English wanker.

I believe the Man U thing originally came from rivals singing about Duncan Edwards, then some teams used it for Munich.

Either way...im not disrespecting those two. Simply using a term that other people know our team as. Tottenham fans took their name fans used to abuse them with for racial reasons and now are proud to call themselves Yids...some people let it bother them, some don't, simple as that.

Slightly over aggressive there soul rider and for that i say fuck you too. racist? dont know where you get that from....perhaps because i assume your english you are blinded by the fact that all around the world english football fans cos trouble maybe not as much as they used too by it still happens....hence that is the reason that Newcastle had to cancel their tour of the netherlands because sunderland were there and there would have been so much trouble.

I'm northern irish and proud to be a Northern Irish football fan (offically voted by FIFA the best fans in the world) we are real football fans, unlike the sunderland ones at the amsterdam tournment who ALL left after the sunderland match and didtn't even stay to watch the ajax althletico match.

I went to the Sunday games at the Amsterdam Tournament, and on the train, there was Benfica fans, Athletico fan and of course Ajax fans, and do you know how to recognise a Benfica, Athletico or Ajax fan?????? They have their teams strips on :-)... also on the train were loads upon loads of Sunderland fans, and do you know how you can tell their Sunderland fans, COS THERE BLOODY LOUD WITH A NORTHERN ACCENT.

After the 1st game where Sunderland got a very luck 2-0 win over Atletico i looked over and there was about 20 Sunderland fans left in their section from around 300, piss poor perfermance by the Sunderland fans.

Y were Sunderland even invited anyways? normally at the Ams Tournament you have world class teams, like Athletico, Benfica, Arsenal, Inter, Santos... and so on, and now they have Sunderland lol, beats me!!!

£ 9 million
Hearts got the better deal I think, but when he is fit, he is a cracking goalie.
Oh, and hearts have played like, 7 pre-season games so far, beating only a 19th division German side. So I doubt you would have prefered watching the Jambos :D
( I have renewed my season ticket though.........long season ahead)

Don't care about any other words you uttered, but come on? The Tartan army sing far more than the Makems did. Much louder and more often, but you'll not here Dutch people moaning about them. When it comes to football, we have had Greeks, Germans and all sorts out here, and do you know what?

EVERY set of football fans makes TOO much noise. I know, I have to fucking listen to it all the time. Now piss of with your Rascist attitude towards the English, and accept that ANY football team has supporters which invade a city and spend days singing their songs, filling up bars and creating a general nuisance, that is football. Always has been that way, and always will be.

The violence is caused by the same idiots who go out and get pissed and get into fights every weekday in their home town, the only difference this time? They wear a shirt, so you can label them as football fans and look down on them. The idiots who fight come from, you guessed it, every fucking country in the world too.

You sir are a rascist fucking idiot. that is my opinion and I am sticking to it.
Very well said my friend

That said, it wasn't that long ago when travelling English football fans were regarded as the worst in the world, with most of the current security rules being made because of them. Mind you, Ajax supporters are a fucking nitemare....they wreck the city even when they win!!.

If you knew anything about football youd know that sunderland have one of the biggest and best fan base's in the premiership. do a little research and check the average attendances for last seasons matches or any season for that matter and you'l see sunderland are up there with the best of them and especially with away games aswell and what the fucks wrong with a northern accent.

i don't think Justboy was racist for saying that ... english fans or 'hooligans' are well known for their antics although that doesn't mean it's only them.

i'm from the uk and go to epl matches.

And don’t forget when the English travel abroad to follow their team the fans are seen as a big scalp in the football violence world and are more often than not attacked and provoked by the home fans.
Too right, mate!!
Then, after they fight back when the have been attacked, the media, police, locals, etc, go on about the "English hooligans".

As has been mentioned, it is a small minority of the fans who do the crazy shit, but sadly, the majority gets lumped in with them all.
I am ashamed of the minority of football fans from all countries that resort to violence.
Likewise, so am I, but it is not limited to the sport of football.

Now THAT was racist bullshit!
How about the stereotype of Germans abroad (Hogging all the beach space/lounges with their towels and being right cunts) or the French, or the Irish (having to scraped off the pavement). What about stupid obnoxious loud-mouthed Yanks, Exceedingly dull and self-righteous Canadians, etc. Which stereotype do you think is acceptable to use?

A recent survey came out that found the British as the number 2 overall best type of tourist (After the Japanese) (according to hoteliers, restauranteurs, waiters, and so on). (It was in the news about two weeks ago, but I can't be arsed to track it down). The survey ranked on many items including politeness (apparently one of the main reasons the Japanese were tops), and so on.

Really ?
What sport creates riots on a regular basis like football ( soccer ) ?
None that are played in North America that i can think of .
Part of that i think is do to the fact in North America sports ( lets use baseball as the example ) teams travel massive distances for games and have in many cases long seasons ( 162 games for baseball ) so it is unusual to have the visiting fans be more than 2% ( if that )of the attendance .
The other possible difference is , it is not socially acceptable to go to any professional sporting match wasted ( drunk ) , you probobly would not get in , and if you did they either would not serve you or cut you off quickly.
As for the dig at canadians ...... hmm i find that insulting but also very interesting .
Why is it do you think that is felt ?
Most polls and people that i come in contact seem to think we are a pretty great bunch , very much the peacekeepers and not really hated by anyone .
Please elaborate , im very curios to hear more.
