Hotel Leidseplein

Anyone ever stayed at Leidseplein Hotel? After booking Utopia hostel on the phone a month ago 2 of the girls traveling with us have decided to be complete w**kers and change our accomodation last minute! Reviews seem pretty decent but anybody who has stayed here wish to share a few thoughts on the place?
any coffe shops near by etc worth reccomending? havent had chance to look into it fully yet!
The one thing i loved about Utopia was the fact i could get up early and go to HGF across the road
