'Bloemendaal beach wins on style' (The Times)

Bloemendaal aan Zee and Zandvoort are recommended as among Europe’s best party beaches by Britain’s Times newspaper.

‘If you feel the need to clear the head while in Amsterdam, there are two good-sized beach resorts less than half an hour outside the Dutch capital where you can get a lug of sea air,’ the paper says.

And while Zandvoort is large, Bloemendaal aan Zee wins on style with its ‘mix of beach bars, restaurants and clubs done out with palms, buddhas and sofas,
where you can be as lively or laidback as you please,’ says The Times.

Have been to Zandvoort a few times in the last month, love it.

puffin: is the beach scene in the netherlands similiar to that of the west coast of north america? bon fires and such(atleast iv been to bonfires here in wa). the beach side resturants,coffeeshops and such remind me of what iv seen/been to here in washington/california...minus the coffeeshops of course
